If accurate, that is disappointing. It limits what you can do with it. Would not be good for a Gopro or even your phone if you record video in 4K.
I'd wait for a ~$71 Samsung U3 from ebay, or cheaper from China.
U1 is just the minimum write speed. They should be ok for today's 4k/30 devices where bit rate is 100mbit but lacks the future proofing.
Of course if you just buy the card when you actually need it, you might find it being half price by then.
