  • Do you guys suck these, I do?

    • I do, until the last little bit which is when I proceed to crunch it down..

      • Doesn't that hurt?

I hope we're still talking about Maltesers

          • @Click_It: Yes, malty choc-covered balls.

            • @Scab: Ah got it. Count me in then, delicious!

These are Teasers, not Maltesers. They are moulded choccy with crunchy bits in them.. different to regular Maltesers

Sorry right. Only read main heading, and assumed was maltesers.

        • Updated the title for better clarification :)

    $ 7.50 * ( 1000 g / 420 g ) = $ 17.86 per kg

not bad but the aim is around the $ 12-14 per kg mark for best value chocolate.

There are some $ 10 per kg chocolate but usually you have to make some compromises unless you know the specific product or brand is very good.

Rare to see $ 8 per kg chocolate usually below that is cake mix or brownie mix etc chocolate chip melts.

My favourite chocolate Ferrero Rocher is usually around $ 31 per kg or 36 cents per piece with each piece being 12.5 grams.

Chocolate mathematics is a real thing yo or food maths I should really say.. $ 5 per litre ice cream is my sweet spot.. any cheaper and it is usually milkshake material.

Thanks it is what I do with my time.

I also analyse snacks like chips and certain meats and stuff.

For me it is all about satisfaction per dollar.

You know the pricetags tell you the price per 100g right? No need to work it out yourself.

          • @nuttapillar: Yeah but it is not arranged in order of cheapest to most expensive or what it taste like is what I meant and the website also switches up $ / 100g and $ / kg a lot so even the website sorting is not 100 percent accurate.

Most deals don't put the per litre or per kg also so user comments like this can help other savvy shoppers and bargainers.

  • Great wrapped lollies for Christmas

    Here’s the online link

  • Still too expensive.

Agreed! Who in their right mind would spend $19 for this at retail price!! $7.50 is at least bearable..

But as mentioned below and implied in my OP it's an easy gift/stocking filler..

Good to wrap and hand out as presents for your kids' teachers, etc.
