I was heading out to the Christmas tree farm at Gundaroo this morning but heard Bunnings was selling real trees. I gave them a call and it turns out its the Christmas tree farm themselves selling them outside Bunnings next to the sausage sizzle stand.
These are freshly cut this morning and the guys there are doing multiple trips back and forth to keep the stock levels up.
Prices are identical to traveling to the farm.
I know I'll get flogged for this not being in the forums but to me this was a great deal as it saved me a 40 minute drive each way to get a tree plus the fuel.
It's obviously only suited to Canberra residents.
Those that live in Canberra know that 40 minutes travel requires a packed lunch. As it's interstate.
$65 is for trees up to 7ft.
I think it's every weekend until sold out.
