So it's like a real life lootbox, but more expensive?

  • I always wait for Woolies to have these on sale for $10 each

    • Is this what you mean?

      • Pets and conffetti are different. This is actually a good deal (if they are indeed genuine and you can collect).

      • It's varies with each woolies. Some have confetti, others series 1 or 2, or pets. But I wait til it's $10.

I say it because of all these 'unboxing' videos on YouTube (even including these lol dolls) that the kids keep pestering to buy

After opening these dolls, the part are so tiny that I give up looking for them

Rubbish that gets kids to accept loot boxes and gambling. These should be banned.

      Guess kinder is (profanity) then.

Thats not a loot box thats a yum egg 😂 the center is kinda crunchy though… 4/10

        • LOL!

        lmao

  • If you are in Vic you can get a 3 pack from Vic Market for $15, lots of stalls there sell them :)

I don't know what they are.

I will go down to the park and start asking the kids about them, as suggested. Will report back.

Don't forget, you need to ask them if they would like to see your confetti balls.

They are a multiple layer wrapped "toy" and is a the epitome of 1st World wastefulness.

The idea of the toy is to unwrap the first layer of plastic. The next layer gives you a clue to the toy you've received inside. This goes on for a few steps, and the result is this little plastic LOL Doll a few cm tall that's either a limited edition or a generic doll (which there are many of).

It's a complete waste of packaging for the explicit reason of causing excitement (and then inevitable disappointment in not receiving the particular doll you want).

They release new series on a regular basis (limiting production of each series to create demand), and the value of prior series balls that are unopened goes up in value for those desperate enough to want to complete the previous series.

It's a horrible, wasteful, overly priced GAMBLING TOY for children, that any good parent should NOT buy for their children.

It promotes gambling to children and there is nothing about the end toy you receive that is playable or interactive in any way. It's the initial thrill of opening, hoping for a limited edition or the one rare doll they make a limited quantity of, and then that's it. And believe me when you see the end toy doll, you'll wonder what in the hell was worth $20.

A massive neg because this shouldn't be on Australian shelves.

Kids beg for them, parents buy them, kids unwrap and don't get the one they are looking for, parents look at the mess of plastic and useless 50c doll sitting on the table, repeat….

I did it once for my daughter, never again.

      • Thank you. That’s what I tried to say but you’re much more descriptive.

        • I'm on work time…. I have time to be descriptive :).

      • I hate the packaging waste too and agree they are overpriced, but my daughter and her friends have been role playing with these for months now. Of all the fads in the last few years, this one has lasted the longest.

        You're nuts

      • I don't disagree, but my comment was intended to be humourous :p

        • I got the humour, but I thought the "don't know what they are" was a serious query… and went with it as an avenue to rant ;).

  • These basically LOLs at the ones who buy them?

If you don't know what they are, ask any kid

Are you going to pay the legal costs?
