Yep got the 128 for $30. Thanks!
this better than Samsung 128GB Evo+? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/422367
100mb/s is in spec for the evo plus, you'd need to check independant benchmarks. i'd say marginal to no difference without looking at benchmarks - pricing is similar, they sit similarly in their respective brands ranges.

I looked at them for you. Marginal difference in read speed, but EVO Plus has way faster write speed. (which makes sense considering it's U3)
│ stated read │ stated write │ benchmark read │ benchmark write 128GB Samsung EVO Plus │ up to 100 MB/s │ up to 90 MB/s │ 98 MB/s │ 88 MB/s 128GB SANDISK ULTRA A1 │ up to 100 MB/s │ "write speeds lower" │ 99 MB/s │ 47 MB/s noice. i remember looking these benchmarks up for the first evo plus i bought but it's been months and months.
FYI in case it wasn't obvious, this same ebay listing has the 128GB evo+ which comes down to $31.16 with the same discount code.
@macrocephalic: or $28.95 from the deal ChiMot linked to in the original comment if you have ebay plus.
Isn't SD Ultra just U1?
Samsung Evo Plus should be a lot better 'cause U3yeah this makes sense
no, u1 devices using u3 is v. slow
or sth complicatd
Was $30 for 128gb extreme U3 from newegg during blackfriday.
This in a decent card reader will make a pretty decent USB drive?
No it will be slow and only allow one operation at once.
USB Flash drive is faster.
But if you spend a little bit more on a cheap SSD and an USB 3 enclosure with UASP (~$15 MSY) that will be much better.
Can I buy this and an adaptor for like $3 and effectively do the same thing as the below item for half the price? Or are they different classes?

The write speed is significantly different. The SanDisk ultra series have very slow write speeds compared to the extreme range.
Yeah I'd skip the Ultra and get the Extreme or EVO Plus.
Will this slower speed card affect Nintendo switch games?
I got the speedier ones. Just in case. But I got three so the 15 postage was split. But still a bloody rip off.
I guess no.
this reddit thread says yes
https://www.reddit.com/r/SwitchHacks/comments/9gvq1u/switch_…but only for writing - for reading its pretty similar.
someone in the comments below actually says the OP's testing was flawed and while there is a difference its not as huge as originally stated = however there is a difference between u1 and u3 cards.some phones/cameras/gopros cant make use of u3 speeds which ends up being as waste. It seems the switch can.
does this comes with SD adaptor?
Is 128 gb enough for anyone Nintendo switch?
Damn I just bought one from 32 AUD would save almost 10%more. Arghhhhh
