      I can order it now…

for extra $5 you can get Extreme PRO, or price match with OW for extra discount

    • +2

Unlikely to get OW to price match an item not "Sold by Amazon" though, YMMV.

      • +1

I got OW to PM close to this just before xmas

      • +2

The Extreme PRO is sold by Amazon though, I was able to get it price matched

        • +1

Same here. Extreme Pro is shipped and sold by Amazon AU. I could tell Officeworks weren't stoked about price matching it because it's such a huge difference with what they sell it for, but they did it in the end.

    • Got the PB at OW for the 512GB Extreme Pro and paid with 10% discounted Ultimate Everyone gift card. $60.61 after the discounts. Thanks for the heads up.

Now fitted in a Viofo A229 Plus Duo. First car to be running the Viofo in parking mode so thought I'd go for a large card.

      • What is the quality like on the A229 - currently looking at a dashcam.

        • I've recently installed the dashcam and have not reviewed the footage yet.

For a drone, I would recommend getting a smaller microSD card, like a 128GB one instead. It's a good size but still not a huge loss if you lose the drone.

Plus this is only going to encourage bad habits with leaving large amounts of drone footage on your drone. You should download the footage before you fly so that if you do lose the drone, you haven't lost hundreds of gigabytes of videos

    • I missed the reply drama :(

      • +1

lol it was basically Lexar ANZ Chris (note: he's not a rep of the store of this deal) saying something like oh yea that's why we're coming up with some new SD card tech that's indestructible. If you lose your done, you still have your footage safe on our cards and it could be discovered generations from now by future civilisations. Then sp0rk said something like wtf that's pretty dirty of you to plug your product on a competitor's post

I then replied to that and I said, "I didn't take it that way - it doesn't seem like he's being serious especially based on the way he's wording it."

Can't remember what CodeXD said though lol

        • +1

Wow, that's a good memory you have with remembering the conversation. Thanks for taking the time to tell me as I was indeed curious. Real MVP

Lexar's product doesn't make sense because most of the time the SD card is intact when you crash your drone… the problem is recovering the drone (falls into a lake etc)

    How's this for steam deck?

    • It should be more than adequate speed wise.

    • I have this exact card in mine, and it's great. Games seem as fast playing from it as they do from the internal SSD.

  • is this good for dashcams?

    • Yeah, I do recommend. I've got the 256gb though as 512gb is quite big for dashcam.

      • My darn Blackvue dual channel overwrites footage on the 256gb pretty fast, especially when parked on the street :| I was planning to go for a 512.

    • Do check dashcam specs first. My cheapo dashcam doesn’t support 512GB.

    • +1

      Depends on the dashcam.

  • Why are they able to sell so cheaply?

    Are these real Sandisk cards?

    • +1

They should be. plus it is covered by amazons return policy. You can also try and get OW or JB to price match if you are concerned.

Looking at the price history from a quick OzB search, they have gone down to this price before.

    • I have purchased from Sunwood many times and they are always real, official Sandisk cards. Check the reviews on Amazon for Sandisk cards sold by Sunwood, It is rare that the complaint is about a fake card, more of a failed card.

There is another seller on Amazon who are slightly cheaper than Sunwood, and you can see in the product reviews for that seller that fake Sandisk cards have been supplied previously.

      • I just bought this and it was sold by Amazon AU. I guess they updates the seller. Maybe Sunwood ran out of stock?

    • I got a 1tb sandisk extreme from digidirect for around $90 I think but ozbarg posts here seem to suggest it was around $150 back in october 2022.

  • As an absolute newbie, who is looking for a few of these for my Tapo cameras, can someone recommend which ones I should get? I don’t think I need this much storage, also I’m not sure the difference between the types (e.g. Extreme)
Any help so that I don’t spend more than I need, but also don’t get the wrong type

    Thanks 🙏

  • Which card recommended for BlackVue 4k Dash Cam?

    • Go for the biggest capacity your camera supports. My 1080p 770x dual channel eats up 256 gig pretty fast, especially with parking footage, so am planning to go for 512, gives me around 3 days buffer to download the footage to my PC.

    • Anything with "Endurance" written on it.

  • Thoughts on if this works well with the Zf from yesterday’s deal? Or should this only be strictly a back up or overflow card (not primary shooting for obvious reasons - the speed)?

    • I have the exact same question! Is it best to get a v60 card for the camera or a simple v30 is more than adequate?

  • +1

My wii SD card is getting rather old getting errors when i added new folders - would this be an adeqaute replacement, my current one is a Kingston 128gb sdxc

or would the extreme pro be better suited

    https://www.amazon.com.au/SanDisk-Extreme-microSDXC-RescuePR…

    • +1

Both would be more than adequate. Personally I would pay the few dollars more and get the extreme pro

  • Price drop. Now $63.66.
