  Be aware that this may not work with Apple itunes Airplay music streaming from Macs.
  Some/All Pioneer receivers only support Airplay v1. Recent iTunes upgraded to Airplay2.
  My iphone can still stream to my VSX827, but iTunes on my Mac can't.

    v2 would be backward compatible to v1 devices?

    Otherwise there would be alot of devices in the same situation

      Yes, it's supposed to be, but certain v1 devices (Pioneer, B&O, etc) have some issue with iTunes program.
      It's very strange. Even if you try to use v2 iTunes just once and then downgrade again, v1 iTunes doesn't work anymore.
