Stumbled on another of the discounted business class fares during the business travel drought of late December.

By comparison, the next cheapest is a 1-stop on Garuda with a longer stop in CGK (Jakarta) for nearly double ($1466).

Deal is Beijing to Sydney (via MNL - Manila) on Philippine Airlines.

Example is for December 28th.

If its the new A350 business class model, then this is a pretty good deal. The older a330 and a340/a321 have very dated cabins including no personal IFEs and horrendous legroom for economy.
