One of the cheapest you'll see to California that doesn't go via China. A stop in NAN (Nadi, Fiji) on the way, and cheap as.

FYI Fiji air use similar seat sizes to domestic Jetstar for their long haul.

Source: I flew Fiji LAX-BNE and it was very uncomfortable compared to similar flights I've taken on Air NZ and Qantas.
