These things are so good, stocked up last time, wasn't disappointed.
Best frozen prawn gyoza I've found.

  • Has anyone tried the Prawn Hargow?

    • we really like the Hargow as well. put in Pyrex container, sprinkle water, and microwave for 2min and it's done.

    • yes, it has no flavour other than prawn so it depends on what you're combining it with. If ya like it plain then that's cool too, but I prefer their prawn gyoza any day.

      • For any dumplings, especially hargow. You gotta have it the Wei Chuan dumpling sauce.

Add a bit of Sriracha if you like a bit more heat. Personally, I add a drop of Blair's Ultra Death Hot Sauce to it and that would made my day anytime of the week.

        • Oh nice!!! Thanks for this

  • Tasty and a great price cheers op.

Best vegetable gyoza and I'm not even vegetarian!

  • For those who don’t know - these are always this low of a price at Aldi. Aldi have a selection of three to five types of dumpling and gyoza depending on the store.

The new Aldi ones have only been out for two months or so.

Not the same brand or is it?

No Aldi have their own brand but always at this price. Quality is similar, can only vouch for the pork dumplings which are delicious , prawn gyoza is always a mixed bag from my experience.

For me personally, I didn't find the Aldi prawn ones to be as good as KB.

      • 100% agree

    • I found the Aldi ones gritty and just not enjoyable texture-wise.

  • Good price, Coles discount these often- I’m guessing for Aldi now. Competition is good :)

  • I would be interested in trying the vegetable one. The pork one from also is fantastic.

    • Try the KB Green Curry ones they are the best

  • The half price deals at Woolies for these are usually better, especially as they still stock and sell the 1kg packs not these smaller 750gm ones.

Ozbargain regular Woolies poster has them all the time.

Unless you're the biggest cheapskate in the world it won't make much difference.

      During 1/2 price sale:
      Woolworths: $10.65 for 1kg - $1.06 per 100g
      Coles: $8 for 750g - $1.07 per 100g

      • Unless you're an OzBargainer it won't make much difference.

        FTFY

  • We didn't find the vege ones to be enjoyable at all. Chucked em in the bin. Maby we had a bad batch but we won't be buying them again

    • Same here

  • Tried it for the first time in last woolies special, everyone in my family loved it. I will stack them up this time.

  • What's happening with KB's salt n pepper squid?
    I've never seen those anymore

  • Yay finally vege dumplings!!!!

  • Made in thailand IIRC

    • What's the significance of them being made in Thailand?

      • It is often not very clear where food items are made, and you will find many people like to be conscious of where their food is made.

Some use this information to make choices about whether they end up buying the food based on the perceived quality, health considerations, ethical and sustainable production, and logistics of food getting to table involved in the food they eat.

You may find many prefer their food to be made locally, as it is often clearer how the food is produced, and there are less logistical greenhouse gases produced in getting the food to them.
