  • This is normal for prime. But limited amount of books compared to kindle unlimited

Tho wasn't aware they now including audio books?

  • If you read this it's telling you to sign up to kindle unlimited which is a monthly fee

  • Is there a downside to this?

I've got lots of ebooks and audio books through Amazon.com, don't want to lose out on them or get stiffed by shifting over to AU Amazon

    • +1

Yeah i run two separate accounts.
There might be an advantage if you own a kindle device and wish to combine (although I just rip them and add them as mobi).

      • Do you have a good link on how to get pdf on a Kindle device? I used calibre to convert a pdf to Kindle format and uploaded it to the Kindle but still didn't find how to open it on the kindle

        • Cabilre would be one of the better one. Alas converting from PDf is hard.

  • I think it's actually referring to this maybe? One free book per month (given 6 choices), and they're all pre-release novels.

    • No…not this one.

  • If you are a prime member, you can read 1,000 books for free.
I have been reading some books since joined the Amazon prime.

But, this is not 'buying a book'. Thus, if your prime membership is terminated, you cannot read the books. It is just in your library.

    The prime member benefits are great;
    - Free books in Kindle
    - Free music in Amazon music (limited hours (50 hours per month as far as I remember)
    - Free delivery
    - Free prime movies

  • Households still not available for Amazon Australia. Shame.
