  • better getting android version :)

    • What’s the difference?

      • +1

Slightly different cable that works with Android phones.

Not much use getting the Apple one, when iphones no longer come with headphone jacks

        • +1

But can't you just use the USB to 3.5mm adapter? Or will the Android version also now work with the adapter?

    • I had the android version and tried to use it with my iPhone and the buttons don't work. Which makes it annoying if you have to adjust volume or take calls.

This was 2 years ago before I got my QC35 so unsure if things are different now.

  • -1

Looks like all time lowest price. People must be coming to their senses on the value of these.

    • don't mistake it with the QC35s

  • Would anyone reccomend these or should I look at another model/brand? I just want headphones with both good sound and good noise cancelling for travel.

    • +15

Been using mine for over 2 years, gaming, travelling, youtubing, planes, city walking, etc. Quite robust, good sound (I'm no audiophile) with noise cancelling ON, great noise cancelling - makes small regional planes sound like jumbos, makes jumbos sound like a quiet office, makes the city sound like a regional town.

Gaming with noise cancelling on feels like you're in the game until someone taps you on the shoulder and makes you jump especially if you're playing a horror game!

Might buy another one for Mrs Anderson for travelling. Also I haven't jumped onto the QC35s yet because apparently you can't replace the batteries? Whereas you can with the QC25. I'm not too fussed with wires vs wireless. I like to go without having to recharge stuff. I have range anxiety or battery anxiety. Something to do with the matrix I think…

      • Thanks, that helps heaps

      • How long it will run in noise cancelling with one battery

        • +1

Using a AAA Eneloop, I usually get about 20 hours before it starts to flash low battery. The case has a handy single AAA slot, so I travel with a spare in there always.

      • makes the city sound like a regional town

and makes the regional town like a sinister place

  • I'm only getting $197.60 using the code.

    • Nevermind, seems the apple one is $10 more for no reason at all.

      • I am getting the same price with both the Apple and Android.

        • +1

Yep I (profanity) up and somehow bought it from another store.

Anyone know if there I can cancel it and then order off video pro. I'd rather get it from there in case of warranty.

          • @IJustKnowStuff: How you manage that? Theres a link!

            • @richmond12: 3am and tired. I think I clicked on another link in ebay thinking it was from the same vendor then never went back through ozbargain to check.

  • This is a really good price - I have owned my pair for a few years now.

  • Warning: This seller are pretty rude and arrogant.

    • -2

why? maybe because they are PROfessionals in VIDEO.

      • Be warning, long delay before they ship your item, and more then 10 days…buy it from somehwere else.

  • Word of warning - I've bought these from two different sellers (Qantas store and shop monk) and the noise cancelling failed within weeks on both. Got both replaced, failed again. Think there was a bad batch.

  • I won't buy Bose products any more…there I said it.

    • keep it moving then

    • -1

Bose are the best in sound.

  • +1

Hmm other than cable and rechargable battery, any other differences to qc35?

    • The QC35 might have better NC being newer, but you'll need to research that. I have a pair of QC25 triple-black edition and use them daily. Very comfortable.

    • +2

There have been many reports of the right headphone dying first due to some wiring defect
if it happens to you then you're SOL though there are guides on youtube teaching you how to repair it

    • I used to have QC25 and then upgraded to QC35.

I got flamed on a previous post when I said there was a difference but I certainly could notice it.

With the QC25 if no audio was playing the NC made it sound like I was underwater and sometimes that would cause me to feel a bit nauseous (really weird sensation), which the QC35 eliminate.

People I've called claimed they could hear me better on the QC35 which makes sense as it has more built in microphones. Audio sounds the same (I can't notice any difference) but I think the NC on QC35 is more balanced and better overall.

The biggest reasoning for me was ditching the cable. It's so long and annoyed, I'd find it would get caught on things from the extra length and just be a hassle. I was worried spending so much on 35s since the battery is built in but 1.5 years later and no issues, I use mine Monday - Friday for about 2 - 3 hours.

Downside to the 35's is that I've found sometimes it will randomly turn off, I think the bluetooth gets interference from wifi networks. If I'm near a Maccas self service screen my QC35 won't work and if I walk past certain houses around me it will just turn off. Nothing major but if every house interfered with it, then it would be.

Overall I would have no issue spending the extra on the QC35 but if you aren't fussed about the above and can only spend <$200 the QC25 are still a good buy.

  • Had QC25's for about 3yrs. A couple of personal observations:

There is a QC25 specific Bluetooth adapter called the Airmod Wireless that exactly fits the curvature of the earcup, so you can turn it into a poor-man's QC35. But the adatper is sold via US Amazon and is about 100AUD so not worth it unless you already own QC25s.

My pair eventually developed the right-ear intermittent crackling mentioned above. If you check the Bose forums, it is an issue experienced by some others. My pair was bought in UK but I rang up Bose Australia. Different people reported varying experience with out-of-warranty service, but for me it was eventually agreed they will take it back plus I pay $250 in exchange for a brand new pair of QC35ii, which was worthwhile for me as the other option was to bin it.

    • Mine are about 3 years in also, inc many flights. I did have the earpad material start to peel. Replaced the earpads with a spare set bought from Bose.

I haven't experienced the crackling issue yet. Good to know though thanks. I'll hit Bose up for a set of QC35ii discounted if it happens.

    • Considering the 35 were $299 not sure that was the best deal to take..

      • Sure it was. OP said "the other option was to bin it". They got a brand new QC35ii for $250. There's no better deal than that.

  • Combined with this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/422002 should bring them down to $179. I'm tempted.
    or even better, combine these 3 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/422002, https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bose-QuietComfort-QC25-Noise-Can… and https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/421974 for $169
I reckon you could also negotiate the price on the ebay link possibly saving another $10. hmmmm

  • Are there any whites anymore anywhere not secondhand?
