          Mighty hurty.

          • -7

@Scab: Ah just looked at what that "hide" button is for… hopefully solved the problem of having to wade through homosexual innuendo in the comments section of a bargains site.

            • +1

@Cleremy: Clicked 'hide' and POOF!…all the innuendo vanished in a puff of smoke.

    • +1

      Toight like a toiger.

  • Ye boiiii!

  • -4

The minimum spend kills any sitewide discounts let alone requiring eBay Plus

  • +13

    spend $75 or more

    😔

    • +1

Discount is a percentage - higher min. spend is eBay's way of ensuring you save more!

  • +3

I don't know what to buy

    • +15

Then save your money for the next deal.

    • DJI osmo pocket ?

  • +3

Anything is better than nothing right? but would love min spend to be $30-50 =)

    • Just buy two.

  • +6

Arh…. Just spent $118.00 with PERCENT5 and 5 minute later I saw this. Should have gone to OzBargain before shopping.

    • +7

      Should have

Not something a true "professional" will ever say. Kindly surrender your 'professional card' at the door ;)

    • +1

Message the seller and ask them to cancel and let them know that you'll buy it again using the 10% off voucher.

  • +44

Geez, another example of how terrible value ebay plus actually is.

If you’re paying for a membership, there shouldn’t really be any minimum spend as you’ve already spent money paying for your membership.

I have gotten zero value out of my paid membership and so glad I wont be renewing next year.

    • +14

Yeah for sure I'm not renewing mine.

eBay plus has no value in it. Only subscribed due to $29 special which I did save

    • +5

Agreed 100%. There is no point whatsoever paying for plus in its current form.

Glad I never paid for it and it's likely I never will.

Saying that, I'm milking my 4 free months of membership (1 free on signup + 3 extra with the current Xmas promo).

      • +1

you get 90 days of ebay plus for free. i'm using it till Jan then bailing out.

    • +1

I paid $29 and got my money worth with some unique deals but I agree the offering I could be better.. free Netflix or Stan perhaps?

      • +1

        free Netflix or Stan

        That's actually a GREAT idea!

Can't see how Netflix will agree to take part. They are doing alright and have no problem acquiring and retaining paying members in Australia.

Stan is a different story though and doing so may give them a fighting chance against Amazon Prime for example. Running Plus has effectively almost no cost to eBay as, unlike Amazon for example, they are a platform provider ONLY and not a retailer themselves.

This means they should have no problem sharing the revenue from Plus subscriptions with Stan and they also get a PR win in the sense that they can say they are helping a local streaming player compete against the large multinationals who currently dominate the SVOD scene in Australia.

        • Netflix competes against Amazon as well.

          • @Diji1: Prime Video is no competition at all for Netflix in Australia at this stage.

This is mainly due to the fact they have no Chromecast support whereas most Aussies are well and truly committed to the Google ecosystem at this stage (and apple to some extent but apple TV doesn't support Prime either I believe) due to their 'first mover' advantage.

As far as Netflix is concerned, their main competitors in Australia at this stage are free SVODs like ABC iView, SBS on-demand and the three commercial networks.

Stan is a very distant second as far as a paid SVOD. Prime doesn't even register as far as they are concerned.

Bottom line: Netflix have well and truly 'won' in Australia. They don't need to do collabs or any promotions really to get new business or keep their existing customers.

            • @ginmi: Amazon and apple made up, the prime video app is on the App Store now. And Netflix probably thinks more globally and realises what amazon prime could be here and would like to curtail them as much as possible I doubt they’re only looking at it from the perspective of what is here right now

            • @ginmi: Prime video is no competition because they don't have the content Prime USA has. That said I have well and truly got my value just on delivery alone. The good content on the AU site makes it icing on the cake.

    • Ive already cancelled mine (it takes it to whenever youve paid up until) due to poor value.

I have managed to make my money back, but only because of big ticket items (2x aircons), and ebay errors.

    • I've already saved $35 over two months. Has Value for some, not others.

      • Yep I am ahead. Also quite often the same item is listed with a cheaper price with postage charged for non Plus vs the standard free shipping listing. The three month free Stan has also added value.

    • +1

Mine's paid for itself several times over so I guess it's a case of YMMV.

  • +8

This isn't live till 10am might be worth mentioning in post not super clear from deal date

  • +7

The range of plus items is so limited.

    • and mostly way overpriced compared to non eBay Plus items.

  • -1

    Inconsistent

  • +11

    no car parts again… fail

    • Agree, been waiting to buy a few items myself.

    • +3

      Username checks out.

    • Ebay AU has been doing that with a few of their last sales, however the UK and US ones still include car parts.

  • +1

BOOOO, doesnt work with anything from Sparesbox.

    • Sparesbox is a car parts seller, the whole car parts category is excluded.

  • Is this valid for myer

  • Is there a way to search ebay plus items only?

  • Stop. Please stop. :(

    • are you alright?

      • +1

        My wallet is empty.

  • Thanks TA, how about increasing cash rewards on Ebay to sweeten deal?

  • -2

Does the item need to be listed as an ebay plus item or does the code work on any item?

    • This offer is only available to eBay Plus members and only in respect of eBay Plus items.

Copied and pasted from point 2 of the T&Cs.

  • -2

Had 2 items in basket with the same seller & had used 'PRIZER' voucher yesterday. Thought I would be on a winner & used 'PXMAS1' as a second voucher & bugger me it came up with a message 'Can only used ONE voucher for the purchase' bugger it I am a loser again :-(

    • +1

Yeah unfortunately you can never stack these types of codes.

  • Target excluded? Lame, wanted going to get Super Mario Odyssey for $69 with 10% discount

    • You wouldn't have been able to use the code anyway unless you spent $75 or more

      • Yeah was tacking it onto another item

  • +3

Great deal! I made my first ever purchase with an OZ bargain code. I ordered the Samsung gear S3 frontier for Christmas for my husband and snagged it at $274 with free post via vividmobilesau on eBay! Thanks for sharing.
