  • Now I've just gotten an excuse to try Kayo Sports over the holidays.

    • Wonder if you can prepay a whole years worth.

      • I don't think so. But there's I don't Think there's a benefit, as the min mth fee is $25, which is all you need to spend.

I was thinking of multiple amex's. I winder if you can swap cards after the first mth was charged? So get 2 x $15 back on diff cards.

        • That’s what I intend to do. Prepay a whole year using different cards for each the monthly payment.

@nightelves: With you now…i believe its like Netflix where they deduct the money every month

  • Will this work to buy vouchers at Witchery?

  • Nice :)

Nup, I'm still against the idea of having to pay to watch the cricket on Kayo Sports

The good news for cricket fans is that Nine still have the rights for the 2019 Ashes series in the UK, the 2019 World Cup, and the 2020 World T20:

      https://www.cricket.com.au/news/what-cricket-australia-broad…

…and Seven is showing all tests played in Australia, so AFAIK for the next 12 months or so, you'll only miss out on 3 one dayers.

Some Big Bash matches this season are only on Fox as well. So if you’re into that, not all of them will be on 7.

      • I'm thinking the opposite. I'd prefer to watch the World Cup with fewer ads on Kayo but it seems they'll only show selected matches. Anyone know how many/which matches Foxtel/Kayo will have?

Darn. Mainly want to try kayo for tennis during French and Wimbledon but the offer ends Feb. Aus open is on 7 I think so don't really need kayo for this.

    • All tennis coverage is changing to Channel 9 at the start of next year

      • Thanks.

  • +1

Nice one! I'm assuming it will work with existing Kayo subscriptions?

    • -2

Only for new customers, as detailed in description above :)

    • Yes. Any $25+ spend from Kayo Sports.

  • -7

Regarding Kayo, nice try Rupert… just a rebadged Fox Sports glorified by nice looking interface and website… people are not going to fall for it.

    • +4

yeah nah i hate him too, but its actually what people have been wanting for years, HD, on demand variety of sports when you want to watch, and at a much cheaper price point…

    • +3

Damn he got me good for the sucker I am. $12.50 a month (share with a mate) for HD, on demand access to every sport channel Foxtel shows. What a sucker

      • How many people can you share it with?

        • Like Netflix it's more a matter of how many screens are on at any one time

        • Two devices for $25, 3 devices for $35

  • Thanks op

  • Hmmmm thanks OP. This may slightly delay the cancelling of my Amex (had planned to cancel immediately after Shop Small)

Anybody watched the NBA through Kayo sports yet?

    • Yep, fewer games since it's only ESPN but the quality was better than NBA Leaguepass for the same game. Only negative I can think of is Kayo don't cut the recording so you have to manually skip the ads in replays.

      • Thanks for the heads up.. Keen to give this a try when the android app is released on my Xiaomi TV.

      • Can you choose a NBA game to watch and can I watch replays?

  • Thanks OP!Kayo is awesome!

  • Would Kayo have every AFL game? And in HD ?
