34cm Black Label Mattress Double $205.91; Queen $233.37; King $269.71 + Shipping $0-$69 @ Zzz Atelier eBay

PERCENT5P5OFF

Came across this while removing some items from my eBay watching list. They have recently discounted up to 15% off RRP for a well-reviewed and received mattress. Kicking myself for buying it at retail price during Black Friday sales. With the 5% eBay Sitewide discounts, it reduces prices even further. Not sure if it is the lowest ever, but certainly one of the better prices yet.

Full breakdown of cost for all mattress sizes, after 5% off code PERCENT5:

Single - $130
King Single - $165.54
Double - $205.91
Queen - $233.37
King - $269.71

As always, enjoy :)

Note: Shipping varies depending on location. Free shipping for Sydney Metro and Melbourne Metro. Other locations range from $9.80 - $69.

  • Wow they finally post to Perth! (Without charging $59 or so to do it). Also seems the price is just a bit cheaper than when they are included in the usual '20% off' deals.

    • I am seeing $69 for delivering into Perth. Where did you see it for free?

      • Hmm wow you’re right. Refreshed the page now and it’s showing as $69. So I’ll revoke my pos vote as that’s ridiculous.

        • Pretty sure only Melb and Syd get Free post. Everywhere else has some premium added to freight

          • @Steptoe: I'm being quoted $19.60 and I live in Melbourne.

            • +2

@magic8ballgag: It's probably being subsidised by Daniel Andrews.

          • @Steptoe: Yeah seems they’ve changed it from previous deals as it was free delivery to Melb, Syd, Bris and Adelaide.

Postage costs to areas outside of those weren’t too bad, but didn’t post to NT, Tas or WA (had to get them to make a special listing for it). But as I said, the price that I was quoted a few months ago ($59) has now been increased to $69, which is getting a bit ridiculous based on the price of the actual mattress.

  • Queen size selling for $227 by same company.
    eBay item number:141824322935
I see a few people have complained about the quality,, comments like so thin, not AU standard, Not comfortable.
Any OZbarganer had any experience with this mattress ?

    • If 34cm is thin.

    • +1

I bought one of the King size mattresses last time they had a sale.

I have to say for thickness it is definitely a standard size considering the king size fitted sheet I bought just fits.

In terms of comfort it's great for $269. It is firm but that's the sort of bed I prefer. You could always easiest buy an additional pillow top if you really needed it to be softer.

I did purchase some expensive pillows, quilt, and quilt set so that also makes a difference.

At the end of the day it's $269 so you can't expect it to be the world's best bed. But I get a solid sleep every night so I'm not compaining :)

      Hope that helps.

      • Thanks for that. My last mattress was $1000 and a spring came out or the edge after 2 months.
The second replacement was nicer but wasn't very comfortable after a 2 years.
One thing i found is you don't often get what you pay for in this sector,, so not expecting much for $200.

        • can i know what $1000 mattress it was.

I have the above mattress, and despite being sold as firm, it did not remain very firm for very long (and I'm not a heavy weight)
the thickness is pretty cool, the quality of the cover is nice
it weighs a ton, dont buy one if you are planning on moving

          • @juki: I honestly can/'t remember the name,(i'm on painkillers 15yrs, can't remember my name most days) it was a Harvey Norman Job at the time.

            • +1

@jd4free: :( might want to review your pain meds, swap to patches - sorry to hear a longstanding problem

    • I purchased a double a few months ago and have been loving it. I thought it was quite firm when I got it, but after sleeping in it, it turned out to be very comfortable.

    • I still have one which was bought last year. I find it very firm and get aches whenever I sleep on it so now it's in the guest room. Mattress is very firm.

I got a queen size one around 6 months ago delivered to Perth. Its great quality for the money. It is firm but ive been on firmer, just buy a topper if too firm. I was waking up with a sore back on the last mattress(Sealy $1000+)which was a few years old so got this and hadnt had a bad back since. Even the wife loves it.

  • I've had this mattress for about six months now, still love it! As the poster above said, it has really helped with my sore back.

  • I feel your pain buying on Black Friday too. Quite funny / ridiculous they make it better deal a week after what’s meant to be sales event of the year.

  • yeah damn, i bought one on black friday. still haven't opened it yet ready for new house. i was waiting 7 weeks for a price drop! damn great price

  • Hi team, I currently sleep on a ergoflex bed that I purchased 5 years ago and the wife and I have a hard time sleeping during summer as the bed hugs you and get really hot, where I need to sleep on a sheet to try and stay cool. Has anyone had experience with this mattress over summer? Does this mattress get to hot over summer?

  • Note: Free shipping to most areas except Northern Territory, WA Regional, WA Remote.

Shipping isn't free to all parts of Melbourne.

    • That was my bad edit. Deal updated.

  • Got a King size ZZZ Atelier back in August during a 20% off sale for around the same price as this. It replaced a fancy $3000+ mattress we've been extremely disappointed with since it developed serious sagging only after about 6 months. Because of that we thought we'd give a cheapie a go as there wasn't much to lose and we could easily sell it if wasn't any good. The first few weeks with the ZZZ Atelier we woke up with aching backs and we thought we'd made a huge mistake… but then like magic we started feeling better & better and for the last 3 months we've been having excellent sleep and zero pain. Must've just been our bodies readjusting. Fantastic mattress and very highly recommended… even if it was $1500!

    • If people don’t like cheap mattresses they can buy from the website direct 😂

I have a feeling no one actually buys from their website and their website price is only a placeholder to make it seem like ebay customers are getting a better deal.

    • what was the expensive mattress brand

      • It was a top-of-the-range King Size 'My Side'…. and although I never bothered looking it up it seems many others have had the same issues: https://www.productreview.com.au/p/my-side-series-6.html Couldn't be stuffed claiming the warranty etc. when the ZZZ Atelier was less than a TENTH of the price, arrived on the doorstep fast & without any hassle and it only took 5 mins to sell the old one on Gumtree then a few hours wait for it to be collected! Problem solved and I'll never buy a 'My Side' or value Bed/Mattress Shop advice ever again.

        • hmm i didnt know about that brand, but looking them up they look like rebranded and repriced zzzatelier mattresses - i wouldnt be stuffed either and probably done the same thing

  • I'm looking for firm one for my parent.

Have any one experience the firmness of this one compare to the extra firm one:

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SINGLE-Mattress-Super-Firm-Mattr…

    • i wouldnt say the queen one i have is firm at all

  • Any comments on the pocket spring one that they sell?

  • Can see the return policy as

"30 days after the buyer receives it
The buyer is responsible for return postage costs.

You must return items in their original packaging and in the same condition as when you received them. If you don't follow our item condition policy for returns, you may not receive a full refund"

How does it actually work ? In case I do not like the mattress, do they collect the mattress and we pay the cost or are am I myself have to post the mattress to melbourne( Which does not seem to practical).

  • I got one last week and I'm SUPER impressed with this thing. For the price its AMAZIING!!!!
The best part is unboxing and cutting open the Shrink Wrap and POOOFFF Welcome to comfort town.

The only draw back I found is the chemically smell but I just put some Lavader oil on it and let it set for a day.

  • Not sure if anyone else has noticed, but coming into the warmer months… It's really warm! I struggle to sleep some nights. Anyone else got the same issue?

  • I think i'll jump on this, quick question for the existing owners, do regular height sheets fit fine?
I say that as my current mattress is no where near as high as this one.

  • Is the 5 zone mattress they sell better than this one?

    • looks like the same?

  • Thanks OP

Great deal! Bloody hell this is just adding salt to wound for purchasing on BF :(

      • I bought a latex / bamboo mattress of similar quality through Groupon in April. $518. I just dollar cost averaging. Everything you buy will be cheaper next month.

Update: Bought this deal, and have been sleeping on the new mattress for a week. Have to say, for $270, i'm bloody happy, I actually look forward to lying down at the end of the day

    • Thanks for the update. I feel the same. I got mine in March.
