  • Great products, bought 2 last week and working great so far.

  • So it just sticks on a wall or what?

    • Yeah, it has a sticky backing. Also comes with a plastic hanger to hang on door knobs.

    • +2

Yes. Make sure you pick a perfect spot as it's impossible to remove it without damaging surface it's stuck on!!!

      • +1

I used a 3M velcro strip to attach it. Better safe tha sorry.

    • It can be hung on a wall hook as well using the plastic hanger. The hook will be visible but will prevent damaging plasterboard if you need to remove it.

I bought 3 Yeelight rechargeable ones from yesterday's deal, about $16 each.

Still waiting for these myself, but at a decent price. I realised that those were Oz stock but even so can't understand the steep markup, surely they bought in bulk with a reduced (Chinese type) price.

  • +3

Not much of a deal, as they are available every day for around ~$13.2 after cashback @ Aliexpress.

  • I have one of these and found the light output to be completely useless. Not expecting it to light up a room, just want to be able to see the floor while walking down the hallway at night. Had it hanging on the wall about 30cm above the floor and while it does turn on, I can only very slightly see the floor directly under it.

Can others comment on whether you have similar results, or does mine sound faulty?

    • +3

Mine has been fine. Did you switch it to the brighter light? it's on the back to switch

    • I have mine on "bright" in the bathroom, and it's plenty to see by.

      • We have ours on low for the en-suite, plenty enough dim light to see the door frame, brush teeth by and accurately point percy at the porcelain. Alkaline batteries have lasted 7- 8 months so far.

    • Thanks for the replies. Sounds like mine might be faulty. I only tried on the bright setting and definitely doesn't seem to be matching the experience of others.

      • +1

have you opened your eyes wide when it's on?

        • +8

That instruction wasn't mentioned in the manual

    • I find them perfect on low setting once you've been sleeping. If you've just turned off the big light, they won't be bright enough, because your eyes haven't become accustomed to the dark.

I got mine from Joybuy for US$8.79 (Inc. GST) with 2 week delivery. They seem to have gone up a bit now.

Thanks again to those who gave feedback on this. I went back to this and found one of the batteries I was using was dead. With fully charged batteries it's now providing the expected (useful) amount of lighting. Happy so purchased another from this deal (thanks OP).

  • I would skip this one and go for the rechargable one as mentioned in one of the comments, loving it

    • +2

The aaa one's last over 6 months, maybe as long as a year. Highly recommend.

  • These are amazing.

I think these look way better and cleaner than the rechargeable ones. You can (should) use eneloops in them anyway.

    • +1

Exactly. With so many enloops with everyone(?) We should make use of it.

  • Thanks OP, good post.

  • I have had these in my bathroom for about 7 months and are great. Battery lasts long on low setting and still haven’t replaced them! I use eneloop batteries so all I need to do is recharge infrequently.

Only a year later and they almost doubled in price https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/341140
