Good deal. Finally an Uber deal that works for me.

Uberpool doesn’t have any love for the western suburbs.

    • Spot on, I live on the boundary and luckily the cut off is 100m from my place…..

  • Still seeing the full price in the Uber App after linking PayPal. Anything further that needs to be done?

    • The email I got says “Just select your PayPal account when booking an UberPool trip and the promotion will be automatically applied.”

      • Are you seeing it reflected in the estimate? Or only after booking?

        • Good point I’d like to know too.

@fozzie: It deducts it within the app.
My $4.66 ride goes down to $0 when I switch to Paypal.

            • @drfuzzy: Not working for me for some reason then…

            • @drfuzzy: Thanks doesn’t work for me …. it stays the same even if PayPal has been selected

I have another concurrent $5 off promotion :). I find Uber Pools charges impossible to decipher though. Last time I used I was quoted $18 and a guaranteed arrival of 11:19. Was then billed $22 less ‘discounts’ and arrived 11:37, driver tried to drop me off a 15 minute walk away from home. Would have been quicker and easier to catch the train.

Tried uber pool.. Absolute waste of time.. Not worth the savings.

  • I am not seeing any difference in price between paypal and credit card. Is this targeted?

Maybe $5 will be taken off my final payment. Do you mind posting a link to the deal t&cs?

    • My first trip didn't have the offer applied but my second did. Now to contact uber to find out why.

I’m thinking this may be targeted. I have checked my Uber app and the PayPal offer automatically appeared in my Promotions section of the app. So i’m assuming that if it’s not there, you aren’t eligible.

Why do Uber always have to have dodgy deal headlines?

$5 off every UberPool until December 17th
(up to 20 trips per person)

So. Is it every? Or twenty? Why say every, when it's twenty.

ACCC should sort these guys out.

    Didi is much better anyway!

    • I agree, it’s definitely deceptive wording. I guess they don’t expect many people to take more than 20 UberPool rides in 3 weeks.

  • Great deal - working for me thanks!

Good deal, thanks op. Have already used several times with my partner and it is cheaper than catching a bus :)

  • +1

Thanks OP. Used it for the first time and it was easy as. Cost me 66 cents after discount :P

  • doesn't work for me grrr…

  • It is for uberpool and not uber
