I have one of these, and it is an extremely good ergonomic keyboard, with tonnes of nerd features (macros, backlit, remapping).
I highly recommend getting the Lift Kit also.

      I thought ?mode=guest_open was supposed to work. Did this stop?

      I haven't given a cr*p about massdrop in years since they stopped offering assembly of ergodox. Never really could be bothered logging in to see their stuff.

    Might help to include this info:

    Is the price in the title for the lowest tier (massdrop usually has several prices, lower as more people join in)?
    Is there a limit on the number of purchasers?
