Sid Meier’s Civilization VI: Rise and Fall DLC AU $19.49 @ Humble Bundle

160
BLACKFRIDAY10

Got a steam alert for this at $20.99 USD and went looking for a better price. This is a combo of a current special of A$40.99 -> A$24.59 and then Black Friday code on top.

NOTE: Pretty sure it will add the code automatically, but just in case I've displayed it.

"Plus, buy anything to receive an email coupon for 15% off your next game."

Mod: Changed deal from Fanatical to Humble Bundle. Ref

Currently $19.49 at Humble Store https://www.humblebundle.com/store/sid-meiers-civilization-v…. I paid ~$15 with a targeted deal and my extra 10% Humble Monthly discount. Also Humble appear to be charging in AUD through their store now so there are no foreign transaction fees for those who don't yet have a fee free card.

    • Oh I thought they charged usd from my quick check

      • +1

I thought so too but my card was charged AUD and most/all of the prices in the Humble Store have prices in AU$.

        • Ah my bad, I only checked GMG.

          I'll update the post.

Edit: Turns out I can't change the store - I'll just add a comment.

    • slightly off-topic but what do you think of the expansion? This is my first Civ game and I really like playing the Australia scenario (can never seem to win though) as it seems quite different to the rest of the game (I'm not really into war and conquering and stuff). Do you think R&F adds enough content to the game to justify $20?

      • I can't comment as I haven't had time to play the expansion since I bought it yesterday. Like everything about Civ 6 I suspect my reaction will be mixed. It certainly hasn't been the time thief that Civ 5 was, and 4, and 3, and 2, before that.

        • Everyone I know seems to recommend Civ V. Some even prefer it to Civ VI. I think I might have to get that one too.

          • +1

@GirlFriday: Yeah, I actually found Civ 6 too complex for a while - too many choices and went back to Civ 5. But I've since grown to like 6 and am playing it again, hence looking out for this expansion.

          • +1

@GirlFriday: I found the AI far too vanilla, your neighbour always attacked you early game regardless of their personality.
I think this DLC fixed that from reports, but i went back to 5

    • This changed my life

  • With the new expansion coming out next feb this will be better discounted in the next 3 months imo

  • Where can I get base game at a good price? Cheapest found is 17.50 AUD at Humble Store.

    • https://www.humblebundle.com/store/sid-meiers-civilization-6… I'd recommend the deluxe edition with the DLC included.

      • Agreed seems great if you get all DLC's for free

      • This suggests Rise and Fall is not part of included DLC

        • +1

That's correct. You would still need to buy Rise and Fall separately. Otherwise you could buy the gold edition though at ~$124 I'm not sure it qualifies as a deal.

          • @twjr: Excellent, many thanks.

            • @Ostrk: I saw that too, although with the price changes on Steam this morning to AUD that wasn't immediately obvious to me. As far as Steam is concerned I am located in Pakistan so I still see prices in USD… I think it's still cheaper to buy the deluxe edition and rise and fall separately through humble.

            • @Ostrk: So is Gold just Base game digital deluxe + Rise & Fall?
Seems currently cheapest is to get them separately from Humblebundle for ~$47?

  • FYI GMG have additional vouchers that bring the game down even cheaper. I don't know if these vouchers are targeted by check https://www.greenmangaming.com/vouchers/ when logged in. I had a "reveal voucher" link for "Extra 20% off Rockstar and 2K Games Black Friday Deals". Even though Rise & Fall is not in that list, the voucher code worked and I got it for $15.59USD which is a couple of cents less than the OP's deal.

    Don't forget cashback through CashRewards!

    • Nice, you would want to use a no international fee CC for that.

      • I had PayPal balance but I'll keep that in mind!
