    Usually i find repco are the only ones who have parts interpereters anymore.

    Ive walked into tens of supercheaps and gone "this hose, i need it, but x more angled and y longer" and they'll just go and look at the shelf.

    Repco staff will normally be car people and come back with "ah, lets try a vn power steering hose, they kink like that" or so on.

    But thats Brisbane. So i guess varies by state.

        Very true.
        And i know the brisbane area manager makes sure that standard is high.

        At least for the parts counter.

        I don't rely on workers half the time even the ones that have no idea act like they do.

        I check for part number on Google, then I go shop and tell them part number not the other way around, and it's worked for me for years
