  • Interesting. Quite thick, at 13.8mm. Survives under 5 feet of water for an hour, apparently.

    • It's not going to be a rugged phone if it doesn't have some thickness to it.

      • 5000mah batteries in sub 6 inch phones ain't thin!

        • The Blackview BV9500 has a 10000mAh battery and is 18.7mm thick!

  • I’m guessing “rugged” is Chinese for ugly?

  • +2

I'd get the King Kong 3 just so I could say I have a huge Kong in my pants.

  • All rugged phones are ugly. That's just your passive racism kicking in.

Oh look we have an SJW.

  • Mediatek chipset…

    • MediaTek have been fine for years and compare well with the equivalent Qualcomm chips. Poptel would need to be distributing mass amounts like Xiaomi to be allowed to use Qualcomm.

      • Disagree.

All the chinese MediaTek phones I've had, have been flakey.
all the Qualcomm ones have been awesome.

Other smaller Chinese manufacturers (IE. elephone for example) have produced Qualcomm chipset phones. It is not only the Xiaomi's, although admittably they might have trouble sourcing the newer chipsets insufficient quantities.

        • Depends on the phone and it's manufacturer. Elephone are large enough to pay the premium for Qualcomm.
