I did not need that stupid little MP3 player, I almost certainly will never use that stupid little MP3 player five minutes after it arrives, but by God, did I buy that stupid little MP3 player.

    • I've used one of these before. If you hear a buzzing sound that means the battery is going dead.

      • +4

Good to know that they give you an audible warning before it happens.

    • It takes 100% brand new and high quality, simple, elegant and stylish.

    • I've got a sansaclip 2 that's almost identical. Use it a lot when I go for a walk but don't want to lug the phone with me.

    • I think we can use it as a USB Flash Drive as well right? 16GB for AU$ 1.37 is not bad

  • I was actually intending to track down a super cheap mp3 player this very evening, thanks. :)

  • EV374BK Clip MP3 Player $0.99 US (~$1.37 AU)

Bloody hell, I don't need it, probably won't use it but for $1.37 I think I'll buy it.

    • 全世界的人果然还是没有差别的。
      我也下了一单。
People are the same in the world,
      BTW I ordered one.

        台灣第一名!

        • of course!! I'm from Taiwan.

          • -6

@Kawaii: Damn. Was hoping to create some tension.

            台灣人根本就是中國人。

            • -1

@Munki: U should say Taiwan is part of China.
But There are 6.89million Taiwanese are not Chinese.

  • +6

Man I can't believe how cheap that MP3 player is! I remember having one similar like 10 years ago and I could have sworn it was upwards of $50, insanity!

    • +7

I can remember 10+ years ago buying my first iPod overseas cheaper than what it was in Australia. Times were different back then.

      • Hi Clear,
Does the music player have built in internal memory or it needs micro sd card?

    • +1

Nah 10 years ago chinese ipod nano clones were like $25 om ebay

    • +2

10 years ago, I had a portable CD player I'd shove in my backpack on the way to school. I'd pad it up with my sangas and shit so it wouldn't skip too often.

Bloody iPods was hella expensive. That CD player was like 30 bucks in Toys R Us…and then I found a Sony one that worked fine in the hard rubbish like a month later, (profanity) it.

  • +8

Remember back in the day all the cool kids at school had the iPod and could dangle it upside down off the earphones
I had a fake iRiver or something cant' even rememebr

  • How does the tronsmart car charger compare to other tronsmart chargers?

Also whats the difference between different country’s stock? How well do these work for iphone 7 and xs?

    • I have the same question. Looking for a PD compatible charger for Pixel 2 XL. Do Tronsmart have a charger that supports both QC 3 and PD?

  • Hypothetically this is a great way to spread a rootkit. Everyone is so keen to grab one for the novelty.

    • You mean via moving the SD back and forth? Wouldn't work if you only loaded the SD card once and never put it back in a computer i suppose

  • +1

No one cares for the cute mushrooms?

  • …can anyone suggest/recommend a good cheap 16GB card for the mp3 player?

    • +2

The specs say it takes up to 8GB, but then again the two relevent limits are 2Gb and 16Gb so it may just an error on the part of the copywriter…

SDSC (SD): 1 MB to 2 GB,
      some 4 GB were made
SDHC: 4 GB to 32 GB
SDXC: 64 GB to 2 TB
SDUC: 4 TB to 128 TB.

      • …thanks for the headsup…lucky i havent purchased anything yet
so what do we do ….wait until (if) they get here for confirmation?

        • It should take up to 32 I would have thought. My "16" was a bit I failed to correct as I was rushing to work :-/ I'd got the "8GB" bit from the ALiexpress one mshsw had linked to and conflated them, but both of them suggest to me dealers who had those values as their highest card for sale when they wrote the ad…

        • +2

I can confirm it will recognise and read a Sandisk 32GB ultra card.

  • I am good. Can't enjoy my 96kHz/24bit music with that player anyway.

  • Coupons not working.

(edit, never mind, the first coupon works but is just $5 off the total order)

  • Does the music player have built in internal memory?

  • Thermometers sold out.

  • +2

Thermometers are instock and cheaper on ebay :)

  • Blossom String lights code doesn't work anymore - "This coupon code has ultimately reached the limitation usage times."

        China never sleeps. Forever watching.

  • how long is the processing time from the warehouse?

    • 2-7 business days.

  • Finally a replacement for my long lost iPod Nano

    • Yeah nice upgrade. Expandable storage, no need for iTunes!

  • Can you use the vouchers if you do checkout with paypal? I want to buy but there's no chance to enter a voucher code before you have to click continue on the paypal page.

    • You can click Proceed to Checkout and still use Paypal.

      • Excellent, thanks!

  • Mushroom speaker code doesnt work;

    - This coupon code has ultimately reached the limitation usage times.

    • same

  • +1

i didnt need it, but i bought it anyway. Can live in the garage, with the rest of my shameful purchases.

  • The MP3 player could have been an e excellent deal if it had any built in storage that could save one buying a micro sd card to use it.

  • Buttons on the mp3 player seem to be flipped side ways. But for $1 each I don't mind. I hope it can remember your position in a long track when you resume like my Sansa Clip. For that price, I'll buy one and find out.

  • Just wondering, does anyone know if this mp3 player can be plugged into a car's USB port and play music through the car's stereo system?

    • Says that "it can be used as a microSD card reader", so if your car's stereo systems supports reading from USB then I guess it would work.

      • Thanks for your reply, Blue Cat! :)

  • Time to gumtree the $500 80GB 4th Gen iPod for 50c (which I rarely used in the past 15 years).

    • The battery must be dead by now.

  • This coupon code has ultimately reached the limitation usage times (MP3 Player)

  • So I finally decide and "This coupon code has ultimately reached the limitation usage times (MP3 Player)".

The tortoise always loses in real life LOL

    Thanks OP

  • +2

so glad the the coupon has ultimately reached the limitation usage time for the MP3 Player…saves me from buying…

  • OP, price for Stratos seems to have gone up? After discount its showing $199.42 now..

    • AU$ prices are based on the Mastercard exchange rate as many OzBargainers have currency conversion free cards setup in their Paypal for international purchases. The AU$ rate on GeekBuying can be somewhat inflated.

  • mp3 player code "has ultimately reached the limitation usage times"

    • Yes it says it's expired in the OP ;)

  • For those who have missed out… the MP3 player is back and this time no coupon is required.

  • Hi rep - any deals on the amazfit pace ?

    The delivery was incredibly fast!
Ordered 13 November and received today (November 22).

    • Impressive. I had my Singles' Day orders arrive today too actually.

    • …yeh just received mine today as well!
is geekbuying always this quick with delivery times?

  • Is it just me or do GeekBuying not offer free shipping to Australia anymore? The options for shipping start at US1.99 for registered airmail…

    • +1

      I'll look into it

      • Thanks very much Clear, for whatever you did, the free shipping option is showing up again! :)

        • Website bug :)

  • …anyone received their mp3 player and had a play with it yet?

    • +1

Got mine today. Reads 32 GB cards. I haven't tried playing anything yet. The battery is reporting as fully charged.

      • …cool. let us know what you think of the sound quality when you get a chance…hopefully passable enough for taking out when exercising, commuting etc

        • +2

On test, [Sennheiser HD202's, Downloaded (Google music) Eagles, Deperado; Sandisk Ultra 32 GB],

An accurate descrition of the first insertion of the earphone plug would be neither PC acceptable or work friendly, however I didn't quite have to revert to the rubber mallet. It now settles in with a satisfying detent action, as does the sd-card which one can eject by pushing with a finger-nail. It drives the Sennheisers well, with the volume ranging from silent with no discernable noise at minmum to just tolerable at the highest level with little distortion as you go up the range.

Bass and vocals were distinct, the sound-stage wide and stereo seperation excellent. For something cheaper than a box of cereal this unit is way better than my wildest expectations.

USB 2 only [Kwell sir prize]but you can always load up the card with a USB3 reader
The controls are responsive with a satisfying "click" action, wolume and forward/reverse n a "c" ring around the play/pause center with a power swith on the side. The power LED is non-intrusive.
It is set to loop the tracks.

          • @terrys: …very thorough review! :)
sounds like it just might do the trick…although some of the reviews ive read of the similar models mentioned non compatibility with windows 7 & windows 10. what os did you try it on terrys?

            • +1

@franco cozzo: Windows 10. The device loads as a USB drive. I had no problems at all.

              • +1

                @terrys: Hi Terrys,

How do you know if the mp3 is fully charged? I am currently charging it and it shows a red light. Will it ever turn to green light to show that it is fully charged?
