Only the banks waived ATM fees. The ATM networks and independent operators still charge. 7-11 ATMs are Cashcard, so you need a "rebate all operator charged fees" card to get it - not Citibank.
It's crap they got rid the CBA/BankWest machines
Yep - I used to go to 7/11 regularly for cash out en route to somewhere because it was just easy to, and inevitably bought a coffee or something else while I was there. No more….

Macquarie bank doesn't charge the $2.50 fee so this means free coffee for me everyone I cash out at 7 eleven!

The barcode gets printed on the bottom of your transaction receipt.
Do you have to get a receipt to get a voucher like previous 7-11 ATM deals? IIRC in a previous deal all you needed was to get a balance enquiry printed on a receipt to get a receipt without incurring any fees.

To qualify for ATM fee rebate, you will need to
1. deposit $1,000 or more per month
AND
2. make 5+ card purchases that are settled (not pending) each month.

It looks like that Macquarie requires less thing to do than ING to qualify free ATM withdrawals.
At the Southbank 7 eleven it only offered me a $2 vanilla coke not a free coffee.
Confirmed that the incorrect PIN process works. Type in the incorrect PIN and proceed like normal, requesting a receipt. You'll get a receipt with the voucher and you can cancel the transaction afterwards and get your card back

Before you start doing this, just check the bin near the ATM. I found more than 6 receipts so they saved me the hassle to pull out a card. I can confirm all receipts have the same generic barcode ending 4763. Loads of people do not care to pay $2.5 to use the ATM and do not need bottle water or iced coffee.
Tried at Fitzroy today and got the offer for free iced coffee or bottle of water, even better! I've upped the pic to the OP.
So you pay $2 fee (or have your bank pay $2 in the case of ING) and they give you some crappy drink. Not even worth the effort. Give us something good like a donut.
Its a shame they dont allow you to choose a hot coffee instead. Do 7 eleven staff care or are they pretty strict on you having iced coffee.
