guessing this is to price match the Hisense deal going at Harvey Norman.
Can anyone comment on the quality? I sure can't!

very good, i figured as much so i guess JB just doing all they can!
It's $1 cheaper at TGG https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/tcl-65-inches164cm-uhd-led-lc…
I looked at the TCL and Hisense 4k at this size and you can see pixelation clearly whenever there is a fast and dramatic change in colour and movement. They are under spec'ed for this size and just can't do the calculations fast enough IMHO. It isnt as obvious on 59-55"
I can not find the Specifications for this particular models Refresh Rate ANYWHERE! :/
I Fell into this trap once before with a Sonique TV. 65" it was just under a thousand bucks when we brought it two or three years ago. We thought we had scored an awesome deal. but when we got it home we discovered that in 4k mode it had a refresh rate of a measly 15Hz. WTH?!?!? 15Hz, what am I supposed to do with that? 24 fps pal is still too little for my liking, let alone 15Hz RR.
so its gotta be at least 30Hz (pref min 60hz)or I may as well stick with our old 15 Hz 65" Soniq (which amazingly has not shown any sign of deterioration… yet… knock on wood), Unlike the 4 other soniq's I have Purchased. My Experience with Sonique is they last 1 to 2 years then something will die in there and TV won't work properly anymore.
Are TCL's like this? Do TCL's last for the Warranty period to only then die? or are they said to last a little longer then Soniq? Thank you and happy shopping everyone :D
Edit. In fact, I am willing to bet that the refresh of this TV is Embarrassingly (for TCL) Low. Like 15 Hz or similar. That's why they seem to have gone out of their way to make sure that no retailer has the refresh rate specs on this TV. A little bit like how Some TV Adds don't tell you how much the product costs, instead they give you a phone number and expect you to call that number to find out the price. One reason they do that is that they know their price is embarrassingly unreasonable, and if they directly advertised the price, hardly anyone would phone up. By getting you to phone up, instead of immediately realising its unaffordable (or an outright rip off) their telephone sales team can try to manipulate you to think its a fair price and manipulate you ino9t to buying something you might not otherwise have purchased.
With many companies I have realised its not always what they tell you, it's often what they leave out that is the thing that should be of concern. I am concerned TCL is deliberately hiding the refresh rate so that we don't immediately write it off as junk. but instead, I think they are hoping that we will just take the risk or something. But as cheap as 65's are now, they are still a huge piece of junk to take to the tip if they fail.
P.S. VV -> slightly off topic. Yes, Yes, I am a huge cynic when it comes to big business. To me, there is nothing they will not stoop to if they think they can get away with it. I trust very few companies, and even then I don't take those for granted. I have learned that even a Once trustworthy company can turn bad (although IMO they mostly all start out bad and stay bad). By bad I mean exploitative, opportunistic, Cold, no compassion, almost pure unadulterated greed, at the shareholder level, executive level and Board level. When it comes to Big Business behavior, I challenge you to shock me.
The general consensus on whirlpool is hisense all day everyday over tcl.
