  I've heard that a few times myself. Wonder what might be the way or ways to check them for authenticity.
  Would be disappointing for purchasers to find the knives impossible or resistant to sharpening up well afterwards.

    Based of customer reviews on the seller ' Knives-online', I can only assume that these would be authentic, otherwise they wouldn't be getting positive reviews? I can understand if its a private dealer, there's probably going to be a higher chance that the product is not genuine.
