Excellent on dog hair. Useless in picking anything up bigger than dust. Even something the size of pea wont go up, will just throw it out.
Basically you have to go around and pick up everything, then vacuum.
But like I said, it rules for pet hair.
I would live a V10. I hear they are a whole level up. Out of price though
Can confirm. V10 is way better than the V6. The ability to control suction power (low-med-high, I only need to use med for carpets and low for hard floors with the fluffy attachment) and the longer battery operation easily outclasses the v6.
Not sure if I’d pay full price for it tho. Was lucky to snag one from that ebay deal a few months ago.
@Sadkid: Can it suck bigger items up. Cordless is a big let down on what it can actually take in compared to a plugged vacuum.

Is there a product from another brand that is much cheaper and close to this in performance? I’ve owned a Dyson before and it didn’t feel like the product justified the price. It worked well but didn’t actually feel that solidly built.

Sounds like the Kmart ones are all a bit of hype. Although a handful of comments from there agree Dyson is overpriced and overhyped.
I’ve purchased an Electrolux one for now, will see how that goes.
I would recommend the Bosch. Had it for years and runs really well!

Seems to be $299 or so everywhere so that’s cheaper than this Dyson regardless. Maybe when a 20% off rolls around again, would make it a great buy.
