Bit pricey considering you can get an RX 580 for less than $299 or you could've gotten a considerably faster Vega 56 for $440 or even GTX 1070 if you're lucky.

    • +1

there was a 1070 last month for 429 i believe and one last week for 438

    • Or get used mining card that still has warranty

  • +1

No way this is worth the extra $120 compared to the RX580 deal.

Actually how is this even a valid deal when we had a similiar card for $100 less?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/408472

    • Hi AussiePrepper, that deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/408472 got removed from eBay and I don't think anyone endup being able to order and the deal on OzBargain barely stay on for 65 minutes. Feel like a scam from my point of view.

For a Galax nVidia 1060 OC, it's still the cheapest price that I could find for that item. I'm pretty sure AMD has always been cheaper than nVidia overall.

      :) Cheers

      • Not the same model buts its still Galax OC GTX1060 6Gb card. Appears to be no shipping only good if you are in WA.
        https://www.stormcomputers.com.au/product/galax-geforce-gtx-…

Same card as the one above @ PC case gear $389. looks like the every day price
        https://www.pccasegear.com/products/37208/galax-geforce-gtx-…

        • Storm is out of stock…
PC Case Gear is charging for shipping.
          But I got your point.
And it's not the WHITE EXOC.
          Sorry for the trouble.

          • @qcswa: Why not show me where to stick it by lowering the price further? At least to match PC case gear? Then add an extra 5% of and you will be winning. You will be in Ozbargainers good books.

Also if you don't feel the neg is valid tell the admin they may remove it.

            • @aussieprepper: Hi AussiePrepper, I almost did, but I think I'll organise a RTX 2080 for $1199 before eBay discount. That should be a deal hopefully :)

    • Not a bad price for this card, so good deal for those that put allegiance to a corporation over value.

  • A cursory ebay search finds new 1060's for less than this

    • Brand New in Australia? Send me the link and I'll match the price if it's a comparable item
      :)

  • Not sure of the number in stock but Umart have the Inno3D 1060 6gb for $349

    https://www.umart.com.au/Inno3D-GeForce-GTX-1060-6GB-Twin-X2…

  • Three month ago I got a GALAX GeForce 1060-6GB @ $330 .. I actually regret for a long time - GPU price drops a lot lately.

I recommend a price below $270 can be called Bargain.

    • Haha I got that 14 months ago… For $320.
Silly prices aren't they…. We are past The mining boom yet still expected to pay those prices.

Lesson learn for me (as this is my second post). Cheapest brand is better and not overclocked, so bottom price is the comparable point not the brand.
    Noted :)
    Cheers guys.

    • +1

      Not necessarily.

In this case, the OC isn't really drastic enough to justify the price premium.

Another thing to note: on their 1070s (OG, not Ti, anyway), Galax cards have very noticable coil whine. No idea whether these cards have a similar issue, though.

      • I should have posted the INNO3D GEFORCE RTX 2080 X2 GAMING OC for $1199 :)

    • +1

Those MSI cards I pointed you towards on ebay are overclocked

That being said, your positive attitude tickles me in the right places.. good luck next time.

      • You're right, I did not do a comparison with the other brands. My mistake.
I did not want to be rude. Cheers

        • +1

This is not a bargain but You seems like a good rep who at least communicates and stay positive to offer a good deal.

Good luck, I am sure you will offer better deals in near future.

          • +1

@Bappy: Thanks Bappy, I appreciate the positive comment :)

  • Wow … This should be $300-320 not $400…

Sorry if that's harsh but no deal.
