        Awesome, thankyou!

Did it work for you in the end? I'm still trying to apply 'PLUSME' at checkout, but cannot. I receive the error: This code can't be applied to your order.

          • @Roemac: same, its not working

          • +1

@Roemac: Yeh but it seems the code stopped working for a while, seems to be working again now

            • @indium: Thanks for the update. Indeed it seems to be working for me now :)

This is insane. To think I bought this drive at $135 a couple of months ago thinking I got a real bargain, and now its below 3 digits :(

    • I know right. Since the price drops my PC is full of SSD's not to mention the others I have as portable drive :)

    • Same here. I got mine for ~$135 a few months back.

I remember buying a Samsung Evo 850 500GB early last year for a discounted price of $185 delivered, and thought that was a bargain too (I think its actual price at the time was $220).

    • A year ago I bought the 250Gb version for $135.

At least it's a nice trend.

Bought for $160 in June :(

Halt everyone, don not fall to the trap. Black friday, Xmax sale is coming very close…hold tight !

    • So what do we wait two months to save a further $5

      • It does not seem so mate.

    • must… deal… with… slow… pc… ahhh

      • "Ahhh" is the sound of SSD relief you will feel. Or does it have other slow bits?

        • just a full ssd that im not willing to clan up haha

now those 29 bux 120gb doesn't sound like a good deal anymore

  • Hopefully 1TB will be under 200 shortly.

    • +4

Fingers crossed the M.2 versions head in the same direction.

They already have been - PCCG had the 1TB for $199 and free delivery a few weeks ago - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/407255

  • Noob question, My Dell Inspiron 7548 has a 1 TB 2.5" WD10SPCX hdd and i'd like to upgrade to a SSD. I guess this Samsung is the same physical size, however does anyone know if the pins / connector will be the same (ie can I just plug it in?) and how do I migrate / clone windows across? Thank you.

    • +3

This SSD should be a direct replacement for the original one you've noted. They both have SATA interfaces, and should interconnect.

As for migrating windows, you will possibly need an external enclosure for that, unless you've two SATA slots internally. There are various cloning programs available, most will get the job done with a minimum of fuss. I've used EaseUS's software before successfully. Good luck.

      • thank you!

        • +1

You could also use 'Samsung Magician' which is Samsung's own Cloning and Migration Software.

Bugger - I paid $111 last week from Futu.

    Thanks OP, Just bought 2.
I bought the same drive for $199 in December last year and have seen them slowly slide down in prices,
Was waiting for them to drop below 100.

    • Ha. I paid about $210 for the same thing at the start of the year :/

  • The Samsung 1TB 860 EVO comes to a total of $214.65 with this deal.

When I built my PC 4 years ago, I bought a 120GB SSD for a similar price, and it wasn't even the Samsung EVO brands. This is an amazing price.

Maybe when I build a new PC in a few years, it'll be even cheaper. Haha.

  • SSD's are getting cheaper lads! Let's hope 144hz monitors come next.

  • 2 and 4TB deals please.

  • Good price!

  • Wish they were part of the AC Odyssey bundle!

  • Still working as at 5pm!

where can i source a SSD tray? ebay? is there any particular one i need or any will do?

    thanks

  • Great

  • Doesnt seem to be working for me currently..

    • now working again and as per top comment, keep going until code is put in to get $97.20

  • Can't seem to load the items on eBay, getting upstream errors and timeouts.

EDIT: Finally loaded, but the code does not give an additional 10% off
