There is no way that these headphones are legit.

    • +3

Yep, feedback from previous deals has been pretty scathing. Crap sound quality, poor construction, thin wires with crappy strain relief, etc.

Don't think these are much loved.

  • +5

I've got these.. Don't waste your money.

  • +5

Everyone who has paid for one can vouch it is fake. The quality is.. literally as bad as $1 headphone quality.

    • +1

agreed. does zapals honestly think people will thin kthese are legit ?

      • +1

Dont' buy guys its really bad quality and not worth it even for this price

        • i went to try it out when they were first released as "OEM Akg Samsung".

Two seconds of audio and then i started gutting it for the cable instead.

  • +1

It has OEM twice in the title. nothing suss!

  • +4

Please don't waste money ..I bought 5.. all of them were bad..

    • Thanks for the warning. I very nearly ordered.

  • Well this just makes me dumb. Bought one this morning, now I've got to file a dispute to paypal

  • +4

so is OEM the latest word for fake WITHOUT it being fake?

    • Seems to work

    • Original Equipment Muppet

  • good luck getting you product, I've bought twice of this company
    and goods never turned up

    • I purchased 25 items from Zapals so far this year. With the exception of fairly recent purchases that I'm still waiting to receive, I've only had one item not arrive.

  • Just like must others I fell into the zapals fake trap and got 2 sets neither work just crap and lies as always from zapals I don't deal with the liers anymore

  • The originals aren't good anyway

  • So if we want something more comparable to the S8 earbuds (or the genuine item) at a good price, where are we looking?

    There's these on Amazon:

    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/offer-listing/B0714F3PTL/ref=dp…

And then there's $5 listings from China on eBay claiming a genuine part number.

  • The original genuine ones aren't that great to be honest.

I would rather get the Xiaomi pistons

  • +1

    Got one, worst ever.

    Buzzing sound when using.

Better donating the money than wasting your Storage

  • Terrible sound, according to reviews.

  • Got one. Not impressed. Don't waste your money.

  • +1

Got them last time, used for phone calls not bad, listening to music is passable, no real negative, probably similar to super market one for 10 times the price.
if you are expecting a great quality for a dollar, what can I say?

  • +1

Why would you take the risk? Not least with Zapals who have terrible customer service.

  • -1

Zapals should be blacklisted. They are crap.

    • +1

Not everything they sell is crap. People buy the "free" items for a dollar or two and expect them to be decent. If they spent more money they would get better quality.

  • Stay away from Zapals. I'm still waiting for an SD card I ordered 6 weeks ago. They don't reply to email. I'm about to out a PayPal claim in.

  • Zapals are known to take a few liberties in regards to naming the product and also using official promotional images and description for product pages of their not-so-official items.

Their Anova Sousvide knock-off was confirmed by their rep via Private message to be well, a generic copy and after doing so they removed all the images that Anova used for advertising the product.

    Please, don't buy this.
For your sake - spend more than a dollar on headphones. There are some passable ones for less than $5, made to Australian standards.

    • i didn't realise there were Australian Standards for headphones

      • Comes under

Audio, video and similar electronic apparatus - Safety requirements

(I think, but definitely covered under some standard)

        • there isn't any australian standards for headphones.

          • @altomic: There is actually. Safety requirements exist. Don't go on that there isn't just so it looks like your "deal" has a point.

            • @pennypincher98: I'm happy for you to provide a link to them. I looked and couldn't find them. Happy to be proven wrong.

I'm not trying to make a point with this deal . 9 negs - it's a (profanity) train wreck.

I am genuinely curious as to what australian standards are applicable to headphones.

              • @altomic: If you want to spend $300 - go ahead.

It's probably available somewhere else as well but to be honest I'm not that interested in looking for it.

Just know that you can't make anything - there are laws/codes/regulations about what you can and can't do covering all commercial products.

                • @pennypincher98:

                  It's probably available somewhere

I honestly don't think there is an Australian Standards for headphones and you threw "Australian Standards" in to try an add weight to your comment.

                  • -1

@altomic: Fine - if you don't want to believe me than don't. I won't lose any sleep over it lol.

Maybe try to manufacture purposely defective products in Australia and see how long you last?

                    • +1

@pennypincher98: you're the one who said there was Australian standards. I just asked you to back up your claim.

    Black list zapals ozbargainers say

    • +2

Speak for yourself. Zapals sells lots of good quality products as well as ones with terrible quality. I don't get why people buy $1 earphones and expect them to anything other than complete garbage.

  • I bought 5 of these a while ago. 2 came broken and the other 3 broke within an hour of use. Literally not worth anything let alone $1.21.

  • I bought this one (2x) previously, not worth a cent. After first use it broke to pieces.

  • these are fake and have awful sound quality as said by other users. Not worth it

  • even the original one just sound average, assume that the knock off one won't sound any better
    https://www.soundguys.com/samsung-galaxy-s8-akg-headphones-r…

  • Not worth wasting a dollar on. The seller is getting very rich selling these fakes.
