This is a great deal for someone looking for a pair of Bluetooth wireless headphones. These are manufactured by AKG, highly respected audio brand, owned by Harman and recently acquired by Samsung. They are on-ear, but are extremely comfortable. They have great bass sound at the same time amazing clarity. They are fun to use for listening to your music. They can also used wired when run out of battery with the provided 3.5mm to 2.5mm audio cable. The package also comes with a pouch to carry around and a micro USB to USB cable. They have great passive noise cancellation and provide solitude for commutes on public transport. They support APTX for higher quality music compared to SBC. If your device supports APTX, they provide great sound quality. Even if your device does not support APTX, still they provide great sound quality. They can go around 20 hours on a single charge. These are manufactured by AKG, highly respected audio brand, owned by Harman and recently acquired by Samsung.

Did they acquire the company or did they acquire a license to slap the brand on cheap merchandise?

    • Samsung acquired Harman which owns AKG, JBL and other brands. Infact in some countries you get these headphones free when you buy samsung note 9 or galaxy s9. I own these headphones. I bought them for $228 an year back. They are dope. Top notch.

        They are dope.

Dank as. They sound really swag

        • According to a prominent US Presidential advisor who makes a point of not reading anything we should be using words like "magnificent" instead of dope.

Hopefully with Samsung taking over the AKG branding, this might bring the name back to its former grand glory.

    • Haha Koreans doing German audio and you consider that to be their grand glory.

    • Apparently AKG's engineering team was shut down after Samsung took over

Take a look through audiophile forums, or even reddit, AKG are a mere shell of what they used to be. Id be wary, see if you can try before you buy.

Or like Haeir buying Fisher and Paykel, they might inject some life into it. China/Korean global companies do not buy these companies generally to let them go below ground.

These have been around for 3 years now. Really good for BT headphones.

I picked up 1 for the missus and 1 for myself last month at the Harvey Norman outlet in Mascot/Alexandria but were $129 at the time.
