    apply

    lol…here we go again
    don't forget vodafail :)

    • +1, Vodafail is the worst, don't fall for this deal, you'll tear your hair out.

Outdated Symbian OS + Vodafail = double rainbow fail?

The N8 has great hardware but unfortunately paired with an outdated operating system and locked to a lousy carrier…. not so much of a bargain anymore.

    beam us up scotty !!!

Lucky the transporter on Enterprise is not powered by Symbian…

I was with my mate today in the cbd and he couldn't make a call because of the shoddy vodafone network. Though I had full reception on Optus and saved the day. Didn't know vodafone was that bad.

  • symbian 3 is outdated?

    • +1

Nokia is dropping Symbian 3 in favour of Windows Phone 7 for it's high end devices.

Middle end and mainstream phones will still run Symbian^3.

This phone didn't get very good reviews because Symbian^3 had a poor user interface and it was lagging behind the competition (iOS and Android particularly). The hardware and camera is impressive though.

It could be Symbian 10, it wouldn't make a difference. It would be about as current and relevant as Police Academy 45.

      • Police Academy 45. I'm so there!

  • killer phone imo..just dont like the fact that you dont have access to the battery without carrying the screw driver around..but would rather buy it outright..cant belive the E7 is more expensive then the n8..

  • I wouldn't recommend vodaphone to my worst enemies

  • What all the negative press, not sure why anyone would want to recommend VF and think it's bargain.

  • +5

    POSITIVE BECAUSE SCOTTY POSTED IT.

    • lol. +1

    • Typical ass licker.

No please don't. On OzBargain we vote for the deal rather than whoever was posting it.

I was given this coupon code, and posted it thinking it was a fine offer. However I was never on Vodafone and was not familiar with the Vodafail fiasco. So if the Vodafone network lets down a deal — so be it! Vote it down if you think it is not a good offer.

  • What exactly is wrong with the Vodaphone network? Doesn't it encompass 3's network now that they have merged? I'm on 3 (Perth metro) and have found their network quite ok. Wouldn't that mean I'd also be happy if I switched to Vodaphone, because it would be using the same network?
