Ye, I did that a while back.
The left over enclosure gizzards are useful although you have to do a bit of surgery first. I've a multitude of old 0.5 to 2TB drives that I use them on.
When you say "shucked" do you mean ripped out and used elsewhere? Would that have been in a NAS by any chance?

If I imported say 7 of these, would I miss the $1000 limit thing, since I'm paying GST in the first place from NewEgg?Like the $1000 doesn't exist anymore?
The existing processes to collect GST on imports above $1,000 at the border are unchanged.
