  • how much Amp ?can handle ?

    • -5

      15AMP

        The specs say:
        Specifications

        Wifi: 2.G_WiFi

        Output power: 10A(Max)

        Certificate:FCC,CE,ROHS

        On your website.

Also the socket itself doesn't look rated for 15 A (ground pin is required to be bigger for the fault current).

      • +1

Where did you pluck that number from? It says 10A max under product description.

Can Ya smart control the Usb on and off too? Or are they always supplying current? Id read all Ya words up there above about it, but there is more than 25 of them, reading is boring o.O

    • the usb ports are always on

      • +1

        No! Why?… (profanity)! Dumb plug!

There has got to be smart Usb plugs somewhere, if not someone put on their inventerter's cap and make this a thing… I need to voice control my Zelda Light… It dont voice control itself you know o.O

Plug a cheap phone charger into the 240V socket ?

        • yes, i would like this option too.. quite a few night lights and usb-powered devices i would like to control with google home

        • The older Xiaomi ones with USB ports would do that.

They have a new model with 2 USB ports, not sure if they are controllable but have a look.

          • @No: thanks, i've checked it. usb is not controlled, pricier and not certified .. will wait for the better one

        • +1

The Vivitar power strip sold at JB Hi-Fi can control the USB ports separate to the AC power points (also work independently)

          https://ibb.co/gyhqY0

          • @hypie: Cheers, much appreciated

          • @hypie: Again, thank you for this… Upon further research it seems you have to call up the 3Rd party Vivatar app within google assistant to shout commands at it o.O Hey google, I want to talk to vivitar… Not ideal, means more talking for outcome.

    https://www.amazon.com.au/TOPERSUN-Electrical-Anywhere-Funct…

    • you get USB charging as-well

      • will it be special for two-pack non-usb @10 pm?

        • I don't believe so unfortunately

  • +1

hmm. i am confused. is usb one is also with smart function? why is then non-usb one is more expensive?

upd: if usb is always on, then it is mostly pointless - everyone here already got tronsmart and genreric zapal's chargers

  • Bought one of these in the last deal and cannot get it to work with Google home. I register my account with the app but when I try and connect to google home and authorise the app says my account does not exist.

    • really? thats a weird issue.. I personally own one and works on both my echo and google home

      • yup, I have tried creating an account with my mobile number which fails when connecting with Google home and then deactivated and signed up successfully with email and same error occurs with google home.

From what I can see the registration for Google home is with "tuyaus" and in a video I have seen online I should be able to chose smart life

    • +1

is it the problem with socket app that cannot talk to google home? may be for particular Android/Gapps version?

      • +1

Ok, update, I just tried now to link it with Google home and it worked. Must take some time for the server to update. I got it to work 24 hours after I first registered the app.

        • thats good to hear!! but still a weird anomalie

        • thanks, mate! buying 2-pack as no-need to have a hundred of non-smart usb sockets at home

          • @Skky: aha awesome to hear! I hope you enjoy !! enjoy your smart home

    • I had the exact same issue yesterday with a different smart socket but after hours of messing around it suddenly decided link. Even Google Help couldn't get it going at the time. These were the ones I bought and they seem good but are quite big. I don't know how they compare to others.
