    • Oh, I wasn’t aware of this. Still worth posting though as this can be combined with catch gift cards and I believe UNIDAYS. Although others might find this useful especially those that have already used their catch club trials. Thanks for the post.

Would rather spend an extra $100 to get the V10 Absolute + through TheGoodGuys Ebay.

    • That's just the Absolute model . OPs is the Absolute+.
It has some extra attachments and the mattress tool. Not saying ithis is a good deal just that it's a different model

  • $649 from Kogan https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/dyson-v8-absolute-vacuum-cleane…

I saw them as low as $585 under the recent ebay 10% off.

bogan price, V10 can be had for $799 a few times now. Major upgrade from V8.

    • I've owned v8 and v10. I agree.

If you have carpet, the v10 does great without upping the power. This is a big deal because the v8 only lasts 7 minutes when you up the power.

The bigger battery allows me to get the whole house done without recharging. It's a big house. Mostly hard floors though which are quicker to do. Sometimes it shits me that I can do the whole house because I just don't feel like doing it.

I much prefer the emptying mechanism, although many people don't.

The bigger container may help I guess but like all bagless hand-held vacs you'll still be emptying the container after every carpeted room (even small ones) because all the fluff is not compacted. All bagless vacs are crap in this way.

IF you don't have carpet AND don't have a big house, the v8 is a valid choice IF it's cheap enough

PS: Be careful to get the carpet agitating head if you do have carpet. Dysons a bitch with v8 and v10 absolute not having the same attachments. Make sure you know what you're buying.

      • So the v10 is much better on carpet but not much difference on tiles/hard floors?

Save $300? Who in their right mind would pay $999 for a V8 absolute when the v10 is at the same price. Dishonest advertisement.
