When are you going to make an API for these in Home Assistant https://www.home-assistant.io/components ?

    • have u updated it?

      • I just did a search and couldn't find anything.
Are you working with home assistant to produce an API?

        • They aren't. They're just a reseller pretty much.

The guys at 3asmarthome (a different reseller of the tech) have made some device handlers for smart things hub which can then use MQTT to bridge over to hassio (the way I do it).
If you got the cash just go for phillips hue but at $70 a down light it's a little expensive.
I went with the zigbee light switches and a in line dimmer from 3a smart home.
          https://3asmarthome.com/products
          https://www.amazon.com.au/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alia…

Edit: Apparently the lights integrate into phillips hue bridge too? So maybe hassio compatible without the above.

          • @Xetrok: Did they work in Home Assistant?

            • @asa79: I don't have the downlights.
I have the smart light switches.
1 and 2 gang work perfectly.
3 gang works but status update if manually turned off is iffy for switch1.

              My system is as follows;

Zigbee light switches > Device handlers mapped to light switches on smart things hub > smart app on smart things talks to MQTT Broker on hassio > Light is set up as a device in hassio and states update to/from MQTT broker.

          • @Xetrok: I have seen a few people report that the Nue dimmer from 3asmarthome has issues - turns off by itself after a few minutes. Are yours working fine? What downlights are you using them with?

            • @randombrick: 15% is the lowest I can go with brightness.
It depends on the tolerance of your lights.

Mine are fine, i have the 2 Gang switch, Dimmer in line on Gang 1, can control dimmer and 2 gang switch via hassio.

              • @Xetrok: I think the switches are fine just the dimmers that appear to have issues.

I wish 3asmart published a list of compatible downlights for the dimmer. I wanted to go zigbee but given the reported issues I am now titling towards aeon nano dimmer (zwave).

  • Would be great to get the 12W ones discounted specially for Ozbargainers :)

  • Can somebody please do a trial order and report back? I am unable to get past "Shipping Information" in the cart. There are two "Please select" boxes that seem to do nothing. I tried Internet Explorer 11 and Firefox.

How much is shipping, by the way?

    • free shipping

  • So how do you control them via smartphone / google home? is there an app?

Sorry new to the smart home scene

    • use app" smart life" "TuYa"

  • These downlight are great but the cutout size is around 110 mm: most domestic downlights are 90mm so could we have a deal on these please: https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/ZLL-ZigBee-Smart-RG…

    • I have some 150mm downlights in my place, that are 12w. Heaps of light and less cost to running more little ones

  • yes by smartphone app or Google or Alexa: work well and easy to set up

    • zemismart will suit u

Have these got Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS certifications? Conscious of putting anything not certified in the walls/ceiling in the event my home insurer wants to find an excuse not to pay out…

    • 3asmarthome (i linked above) are aus compliant.

    • yes, we have certificated
