“DAMMIT NEIL, EAT YOUR BAO!!!!”
I did, i dont think they are very good. KB is the only supermarket brand that is decent.
Kb made in Thailand. I found prawn shell in one of the kb's prawn hagow dumplings
Aldi ones are from Mr. Chen.
Tried the hargow and dumplings, weren't very good. It's smaller and has less fillings. Looked kinda sad next to the ones bought at Asian grocery shops
I reckon they're pretty good, they definitely are smaller but a lot cheaper than what you'd pay at a proper yumcha place. Worth a try at half price imo
theyre very nice and i like the sauce that comes in the hargows!
Still like the hargows from KBs but none of the coles near me ever stock them, everyone seems to have the gyozas :( so Mr Chen's will do.
Made in Vietnam.
Comes with free Diseased prawns
oh wow thats me out

Sounds scary but no one sure. Looks more like preservative for Tiger Prawn, and you think Mr Chen will use Tiger Prawn ?
CMC https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carboxymethyl_cellulose
"…CMC powder is widely used in the ice cream industry. It is used to make ice creams without churning mechanism or extreme low temperatures thereby eliminating the need of the conventional churners or salt ice mixes.[11] CMC is used in bakery products like breads and cake preparation…"
This is added illegally, injected without hygiene into the prawns to make them appear heavier. Not 'food safe' at all
Sometimes they fake the entire prawn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OT1GrEBupA
@King Tightarse: TBH for countries has no food regulation rules, cannot treat as illegal. At least you can held Mr Chen for responsibility when their products has issue.
There is 1 thing that is never fake in China, do you know what ?
Then they should have name it Mr Nguyen's
Thank you! I read the packets of 2 different varieties of these in store, and as far as I could see, there was nowhere where it said where it was actually made (e.g. there was no mention of Vietnam that I could see). One said "30% made in Australia", but it turned out that it was most likely due to the pork being processed/"significantly transformed" here (with no disclosure about where that pork was originally from). Country of Origin labelling laws must be woeful as it's apparently not necessary to say where something actually comes from. So did not purchase.
On the supermarket website.
I don’t think these are msg free.
Why? Have they texted you?
Vegetable ones are the best, sadly not on promotion
Buy the wrap/skin from Asian Grocery and DIY is safer and cheaper Recipe
No love for vegetarians?
Anyone tried these before?
Had Aldi ones for 24 for $10, and they were pretty good
