Was checking on my wishlist and saw a couple of things that are at the lowest price I've ever seen - double checked PS Prices and looks like lots of games are at their lowest prices (some have been this price before, but maybe you missed out and regretted it! Who can say)

There are more if you're happy to click through the link above, but here's a selection of games I found

I am holding off on the first 2 in case they become ps plus free games.

In the meantime I have plenty of other games to finish.

    • Colossus was a plus for PS3 a while back (Street I bought it as well!) So I doubt it'll come to PS4 plus

Must of been a while ago because I don't remember it?

its been remastered again for ps4 since then though

      • -1

I played it recently from the free ps3 d/l, dusted off the old girl. Wasn’t good, beat the first boss and couldn’t care to continue.

      • +1

The PS3 remaster being on PS plus is no indication the PS4 version wont be added.

        • A lot of people will be annoyed that a game is repeated in the plus (myself included)

The Last Guardian took 7 years to make. I think it deserves a buy if you want to play. Its a great game and looks fantastic with ps4pro/4k.

    • Oh crap I just brought it and didn't even think of that.

Maybe finally time to get uncharted 4 lost chapters.

    • lost chapters or lost legacy?

      • +9

Yeah that one.Uncharted: The Lost Levels.

        • And apparently there are 4 of them.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game Of The Year Edition
    $24.95

Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience
    $13.95

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
    $11.95

Are they good prices? Or MGS V will become free very soon?

    • +4

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was a PS+ game last October

      • Last October….

        thanks.

        • It's a very good price.

    • Good prices. You'll need to consult a crystal ball for your second question

Currently playing through Witcher 3 - can confirm it's worth every. Single. Cent.

      • How's the frame rate? I have a pro and wondering how it Performs

        • Can't really comment.. I think it visually looks awesome, without much lag during gameplay, but honestly can't really say - I am just really enjoying the game for what it is/story.

I have a Pro, and don't believe this game allows for additional scaling/enhancing. I could be wrong with expansions though? The base game is roughly 3 years

        • Locked 30fps almost 100% of the time on both base PS4 and Pro. It's gorgeous in HDR on the Pro, and with a 4k screen you can hit 4k with checkerboard rendering.

          • @Swankenstein: Anything special I need to do in settings? Can't see anything unlike Last of us/God of war.. have HDR 4K TV and PS4 Pro.

      • The only "problem" is i am playing horizon zero dawn at the moment which imho is also worth very cent. I bought that Detroit game and dont even have time to install that game.

the witcher 3 is one of the best games of this generation. And that's a good price for it too!

    That's not lots of games

Lowest prices for digital. Physical copies, a lot of those games were on sale for less previously.

One thing to watch out for. Unlike XBox One, I found that transition to digital games for PS4 require re-install / download of the game(s). The saved games do continue to work, but Sony seem to treat digital version and the physical version as two separate versions.

    • Yeah, less than optimal.
Not as bad as when collectors editions are cheaper than the DLC, but you can't buy the collectors edition due to already owning the base game. Looking at you "Don't Starve"

    • True, I should have mentioned that it's best digital price.

  • +1

Steep is great if you liked the skate series. $16 is awesome imo

    • Not worth getting either of the options with the bundled DLC?

      • I got bored of it before I'd have needed DLC. Bought it for I think $17? I don't regret it for that price. It's really relaxing/nice to play a game where I'm just Doing Tricks and things look nice.

  • +1

Last guardian is great game, recommended. Apparently much better frame rate on the pro where it doesn’t drop.

  • +2

I'll be buying Need For Speed Payback Deluxe Edition, which includes the Speedcross DLC which seems pretty good and worthwhile, for $24.95.

And might possibly treat myself to Wipeout Omega Collection for $17.95

Ni No Kuni 2 also on sale too, $48 for standard and $70 prince's edition.

Super Stardust Ultra for $5.95 - I still play the PS3 version of this every now and then, and it's a heaps-fun twin-stick shooter. I'm going to buy the PS4 version at this price just in anticipation of eventually buying a PS4. :-)

Rez Infinite for $22.95 - I still play the PS2 version of this occasionally; I think this and Horizon Zero Dawn are the games that are pushing me to want a PS4! Now that they are both on special, just waiting for the PS4 to dip below $500… ;-) (Yes, I know, I missed a few sales before, but I was sitting on the fence because I still enjoy many games that I have on the PS3!)

  • I was going to switch to Playstation from years on the xbox since the original, still probably will, but is it me or are games on the Playstation more expensive than on the Xbox on average? I've picked up a couple of dozens over the last couple of months and have been checking prices in the Xbox store every day (and online to see if I could get a better deal) and I have to tell you, when I had a look at the Playstation store digital prices I was a bit shocked at how expensive some games were compared to the Xbox digital store (discs at EB Games and others were the same so I thought it would be the same in the digital store. Is it just me? Can someone who has both please advise.

    • +1

I've never been on xbox but generally on the PS4 their digital store is always more expensive than retailers/physical copy. I just assumed they didn't really want to compete with their partners, the retailers.

    • +1

I've always found PlayStation to have better sales. I have over 100 digital games on my PS4 all bought on sale whereas my XBox only has 1 simply because I had credit.

A bonus for PlayStation digital games (and PS+) is that you can install them and simultaneously play on 2 consoles so you can always go halves on the cost with someone you know. My younger siblings have a PS4 at their house so I give them free access to my library and PS+ so we can play online together for the price of one.

    • +1

Ok thanks, good to know. I just thought that maybe because Playstation sells twice as many consoles they might be in a position to charge more for digital copies. Looks like like I'll be joining tge Playstation crowd soon, there's not that much on the Xbox to keep me interested anymore (and I have almost 200 games)

  • God of war is still showing up as $99.95
