3150

Samsung may pull this offer tomorrow since this is going to get Ozbargained to hell, so be quick.
[Update 2 - 4G models BACK IN STOCK! about 450units left as of 4:30pm. Probably from cancelled orders. Get in quick!
Bluetooth versions of both sizes and all 3 colours are still available]
Also, make sure you are checking your order history via the EPP samsung store url, not the regular public one or you might not see it show up
And dont forget cashrewards for this. I already got $10 back TA has confirmed cashrewards is ineligible for EPP deals. My $10 is still pending and will be declined by samsung after review

[Update 3 - samsung seems to have applied a quota of 2 wearables per account (you can see your limit under the "My Quota" menu under your personal detail menu icon). This will limit scalpers, but also people offering to help others.
Stock looks like there's 300 4G 46mm models left]

Update 4 - 85 4G 46mm units left as of 29/09

The new Samsung Galaxy Watch is 40% off via the Samsung Enhanced Partnership Programs website. This is a preorder to be delivered on/after the 3rd like everywhere else, i.e. if your company has a corporate benefit relationship with Samsung, you can register your existing Samsung account by activating it using your company email address. I can confirm working for Westpac and Telstra.

To test, check with your company’s corporate benefits. I simply modified the URL below accordingly with "Telstra" or "Westpac" to see if the companies have a relationship. But you still need a work email to receive the activation link.

  • Westpac(shop.samsung.com)
  • Woolworths(shop.samsung.com)
More being updated by RichardL as they are identified

Once activated you will see a huge banner saying 40% off RRP for all models from the 42mm BT model up to the 46mm 4G model
4G model was out of stock over the weekend but restocked this morning so be quick.

Inventory appears to be shared with retail offers from the Samsung Pay App deal, which is the next best thing if you can’t get this deal:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/404243

You also get free express delivery and if you really wanted the dual charger, its $20 off via the corporate site as well.
And no you cannot stack the Samsung Pay deal with this 40% offer (I already tried :P)

This is a killer deal as you save $260 with free shipping on the 4G 46mm model. For comparison, the Gear S3 Classic/Frontier were previously being offered for $350 more than a year after launch and previous deals were still around $300.

So $300-389 for a preorder with 7 days battery life and optional 4G is unbeatable.

@Samsung - please dont kill me for sharing this deal to 7000+ of my friends

  • Ordered Wed Morning, received dispatch email for 4g watch but not for BT version, I guess they are being prioritised.
edit: just received email for bt version too.

  • Finally received the shipment email. Woolies login. :)

  • Got shipping email. Woolworths/gmail.

  • shipment email received, ordered on tues night, woolies login/gmail

  • Received my shipping email ordered Wednesday 6:15 AM Gmail/Woolworths.

    • Same. I'm super surprised they didn't cancel dodge orders, which mine was :-/

If you have the AusPost app, the tracking number should be automatically added to your account. I refreshed the app and it loaded it automatically with StarTrack tracking number, sent by E-COMMERCE (which I am sure is Samsung).

    • Same I also got a tracking number from E-COMMERCE registered on my Auspost app.

      • i just signed up to the auspost app. how does the tracking number sync across? the email I've used (hotmail) for the app is different from the email I used for the order (gmail).

        • +1

It is strange how the AusPost app works, but it does update through email, address or phone number; but sometimes if you end up buying for someone and you chose their address, it ends up updating on your account also. Very weird.

    • +2

      Legend.

I got the email this afternoon, but no message with the tracking details. I thought maybe the Courier didn't pick it up. But opened the Auspost app and there it is.

That app is the best thing Auspost have ever done.

      • I agree. Makes tracking all these numbers much easier, all in one place too!

  • Got the SMS for Shipping.

Still trying to get into the store… no luck…

  • Got my sms as well. All turns out well in the end.

  • Well that sucks. Finally managed to find someone to help me purchase and the store isn't online today.

  • To those who have received the SMS - when you view the tracking info on the Startrack site, does the Reference number match your order number or part of it? If it's the latter, which part please?

    • My ref number on Startrack doesn't match my Samsung order either.. doubt there'll be an issue

    • Why does it matter? As long as you got the sms notification it’s coming definitely…

      • +1

As long as you got the sms notification

        Obviously I don't have it?

        • How'd you foresee it not matching? Mine are different. Very much doubt it's a wrong order they've sent.

          • @[Deactivated]: I was hoping I could use the order number as the reference to track seeing as I don't have the SMS to get the actual tracking number (and won't be getting because it's not my phone number on the order).

            • @Pecan: Download the Auspost App. My shipment was automatically loaded into there. But I never got an SMS

              • @AdosHouse: No go here on the app

                • @Pecan: neither. nothing on app.

                • @Pecan: Clearly a startrack tracking number is not going to be remotely similar to an invoice/order number from a different company.

                  • @Soluble: Obviously.
Have you got your tracking yet? If you have, look at the tracking info. At the top it will show not only the startrack consignment number but also the customer reference number. This is what I'm asking about.

                    • @Pecan: you can use online chat and provide your order number, they will give you the tracking number in a second. From the number I got, the order number has nothing to do with either the consignment number or reference number. If you can't be bothered, just wait and mostly certainly it will arrive today.

                      • @sywater: Yes I did this about 10 minutes ago, thanks.

        • If that's the case, try again tomorrow by calling Samsung to confirm. Pretty odd to me anyway that you did not get SMS and just to satisfy your query, as per jeeft, the Samsung order on Star Track does not match with my web order.

  • I can't even log into the site. Keeps getting error 500

Hi mate, i'm after a 42mm rose gold watch for my wife if you're able to help out that'd be greatly appreciated. I'm based in sydney so happy to meet up and pay cash or do a money transfer, whatever suits you.

Just posting that I got my Woolies watch today, connected to telstra and everything, was pretty easy. Very very happy with it, I am very impressed. Paid my groceries with my watch, made phone calls, its awesome.

    • How is the microphone quality, and the speaker loudness/quality?

  • So are other carriers, if they join in, going to announce soon e. G. After the pre order period or are we thinking a 2019 announcement?

    • Not till December.

  • -1

    Site appears back up now.

Is anyone able to help me with an order?

  • Just ordered one for myself and one for my dad! Thanks OP!

For those that have the artricle number from Auspost after logging into your auspost account, enter the article Id first 12 digits of it here, at the end of the link, in the id= part to see the actual tracking page.
    https://msto.startrack.com.au/track-trace/?id=

  • Looks like they blocked Optus broadband emails ending with @optusnet.com.au and only allow optus.com.au

  • 4G 46mm out of stock :(
ended up ordering the 46mm bluetooth version instead.
I wonder if they will have more stock of the 4G 46mm before the deal is up.

  • I managed to get one through the woolworths link when it was still up. I got the email confirmation it will be shipped soon. Starting to think I should have bought the 46mm instead of 42mm black :(

  • Watch due to arrive at me today.
    Woolies purchase.

  • Has anyone been able to browse the wearable accessories on the EPP shop? Doesn't seem to work for me.

    I'm interested in a leather strap…any recommendations?

    • I tried too.. link didn't work. I'm just going to wait til the watch arrives and try eBay :-)

    • The link doesn't work on the standard shop site either, not sure what's going on there.
Check out cheapestnatostraps.com I wouldn't get actual nato straps but they sell 2 piece bands as well in a variety of materials including leather. Have bought from them previously and was happy with them.

After a 46mm BT in silver.

  • got the email yesterday but no tracking number. Sydney based. anyone else in the same boat?

    • Yeah same here

Can anyone in Darwin help me get one please…???? (please PM me)

  • -8

Can anyone in Melbourne help me please? Please PM me. Thanks for your help

  • I don't know about you guys but one of my boxes had its seal broken.

    • wow really? was anything taken?

      • woah….

      • Nope. At least I don't think so, because the tape at the bottom has not been tampered with. The Samsung seal was the one that broke. Going for an exchange with it, as you cannot accept the product if the seal is broken.

        • Taking it back to Samsung store?

          • @blehgg: Since it's an online order, you have to do everything online… Sadly.

            • @Aced21: UGHHHhhhhhhhhhh did you get bluetooth only? or LTE?

              • @blehgg: LTE. SO I don't know how they'll respond as everyone else said they're out of stock. Maybe they're just going to let me use it.

                • @Aced21: thats super annoying dude… keep us updated..

                  • @blehgg: Will do! I have called and they asked me to send an email with pictures. I am pretty sure the exchange process will be swap on delivery.

                  • @blehgg: lol, not even a swap on delivery, it's a pickup, the assessment, then replacement. Apparently a 1-3 weeks thing. Such a hassle…

                    • @Aced21: what?!?! thats bs

                    • +2

@Aced21: That assessment means looking at the broken seal. The replacement means sticking on a new seal over the broken one :P

                      • +1

@m9: I know right. What have I gotten myself into and the fact I had to deal with Toll… nightmare.

                        • @Aced21: Probably best to just inspect the contents and if there's nothing out of the ordinary then you might want to start using it. Definitely not ideal but this way you get to enjoy it now rather than waiting for weeks only to have a new seal slapped on the old one.

                          • +3

@m9: Well I bought one for me and my cousin, so he's just going to wait! haha

        • I felt the same as well. Will be calling them.

          • @BargiHunter: If you have already opened the box, they might not accept it, but it seems like you were really excited!

    • Unfortunately the black seal on my was broken too. Have to hear back from Samsung to clear me of liability in case I unbox it and there's damage :(

      • The seal on my is broken too. Gonna contact Samsung tomorrow.

        • +1

My seals were not broken on any of the two watches I received today.

      • im the OP and i got mine today and the seal was broken

my mates one's seal was broken too what the fuq samsung

        • Mine seal was also broken oneside.

  • +2

those who haven't got any tracking sms, call them. instant connect - no hold time and they give you tracking number quickly.

    • My tracking hasn't moved since this morning. Also the star track link on the sms says delivered, but that seems to be to 'Melbourne Depot', usually get 'It's on board with driver' in the AM, unless its on afternoon round ?

    • Heh, I called up and he seemed to give me the same scripted response he's told everyone for the last few days. I then had to nudge to actually be provided with the tracking number.

  • Got mine delivered today morning. Felt like one side seal was broken, but cant be sure as I opened it quickly. Weird thing is charger is wired one, like old times. Not a separate USB cable, but wire connected with wall charger. Is this normal?

    • isnt it a wireless charging dock?

    • +2

You plug the wire to the wireless charging dock (like a wireless pad).

      • Yes, it is a wireless charging dock, but I was expecting it to be a 3 piece assemble. Dock, USB Cable and Wall charger, but they have made USB cable attached to the wall charger. You can not take the USB cable out from wall charger. The way chargers were before smartphones.

        • Oh, is that how it is? I have received mine but have not opened. But interesting to know they have it set up like that.

        • I sounds and looks like the same charger on my Gear s2 watch. 2 piece job. Works quite nicely though.

    • check the youtube video of unboxing watch. things will get clear

      • Its different from YouTube video. But that video is from US, not sure if this is standard for Australia

    • it is correct. you get the wired one because Samsung does not want you to use your own power brick. the one you got is only 3.5w, many of our power adapters are 5w+. This can fry the battery.

      • +1

That's not true. There is no way to fry the battery even if you use a beefier power brick as the charging circuit in the watch will regulate the charge rate. This is true for all devices, the charging circuit in the device determines the charge rate. The charger just supplies whatever that's requested up to it's own rated max output. To top it off, the Duo Charger which was designed with this watch in mind has 12W charging pads.

        • I know that is what is supposed to happen but I am not sure if the reglator works as well as you think. At least not on the the previous model (gear s3)

          https://www.iotgadgets.com/2017/02/caution-while-using-other…

          • @53459:

This could probably be because the Gear S3 doesn’t fit perfectly in the wireless charging cradle of the Gear S2 and hence causes flow of Eddy currents through other parts of the watch which builds up heat.

Quoted from your article so I would think excess heat from being misaligned was the cause there.

Also did a quick Google search and it seems the Gear S3 has a tendency to overheat when charging. Could be an inherent design flaw with the Gear S3 I'm not sure but it certainly doesn't mean the Galaxy Watch will fry itself when you use a higher output induction charger. As previously said Samsung's own offering, the Duo Charger, has 12W pads and is made with the Galaxy Watch in mind.

Edit: I'll get work to give me the Duo Charger - will report back when my watch kaputs :P
