For those who don't have access to the education, banks (/thieves), government portals, you should have someone who holds an NSW Seniors Card or Senior Savers Card. That will give you access to these prices.

    Absolutely, but even $296 is a steep price for some. They should have partnered with someone like Motorola to offer sub-$100 5G phones.

      Not to mention, why is it taxpayer money that is spent on fixing the mistakes and badly managed rollout of the 5G switch being done by the private telcos!?

        One mistake can't be fixed by another one, therefore I still think it's a good thing to look after our senior citizens.

        I'm just debating that the taxpayer money could have been spent more rationally without subsidising Samsung's overpriced phones if the aim was to enable access to "education, banks, government portals".

  If you are not glued to the Samsung One UI ecosystem, I would recommend waiting for a deal on the Motorolo Edge 50. Great phone and was recently on special for $350.

  Even if I did, they likely would wisely not want to share their personal data.

    Huh? The blurb says "you should have someone", not "you should have someone's card". You can just ask your old man to buy the phone and gift it to you.
