but thanks for advice on how to avoid reading one of these in the future.

      I'm guessing you don't like archaeology…

      • +5

Archaeology is one thing, but passing mythology as literal truth is another.

        • +1

@thelastnoob: Real archeology has confirmed the city of New York exists, therefore Spiderman must be real too.

Yeah, why believe in facts and science when you can just put your so called 'faith' into believing any stupid fairy tales.

Religion: the enemy of rational thought.

Or maybe you have archeological evidence of any of the "miracles" described in the Bible? Come on then, your Nobel Prize is waiting.

@thelastnoob: 'So called science' is a demonstrable method to arrive at understanding of the universe. It allows us to make models that help us predict the behaviour of future events. When those models fail they are adjusted or rejected outright. Religion is the opposite - it starts with a conclusion and rejects any and all evidence to the contrary. Science gives us engineering and physics and computers and medicine. Religions like Christianity gives us stories about demon possessed pigs and 700 year old men building giant boats and people being swallowed alive by giant sea beasts.

        • I expect the "Top Ten Discoveries in Biblical Archeology" would be,
          1. Noah's Ark
          2. Noah's Ark
          3. Noah's Ark
          4. Noah's Ark
          5. Noah's Ark
          6. Noah's Ark
          7. Noah's Ark
          8. Noah's Ark
          9. Noah's Ark
          10.Noah's Ark
After all, Christian archeologists have "discovered" Noahs' Ark at least twice every year since 1900

it's like a maple leaf to a drowning man "

      So deep.

      • Just scratching at the surface

    • "a maple leaf from a friend is as a blessing from a God"

    • The world has gone PC mad.

This is not the reason for the ban. It's just because gun deals bring out nasty comments. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/322997

      @charedblack
Yet things like public education, welfare, the idea that all people are created equal and most modern science can be traced to the influence of the Christian church. Meanwhile, athiest regimes were responsible for more killings in the 20 century than all religions combined. Yes, I'll agree that some horrible things have also been done in the name of Christianity, but I'm not sure that I understand your point?

      • +2

Shhhh… you don't want to make the atheists angry. Tolerance and acceptance are not their forte.

Next up, how the Karcrashians used this course to find Noah's Ark and you won't believe where they found it!

Apparently that comment is fine, but if I call the post out for being spam I get in twouble.

It is online so instead of touching, the priest might ask to exchange pics. User beware.
