Perfect for a cheap upgrade for an older laptop.

That's what I had in mind.

Absolutely! Upgraded two old laptops with Sandisk Plus 120 and 240gb for a mate, so far no issues and laptops are now getting used.

    • Yes, for $1 it is. Not sure if people will notice it, but it is a marginally better performing drive.

      • Sorry, my confusion here, but it seems like you are saying it is quite a bit better- but marginally means only slightly better?

To clarify, it is a better drive, I'd pay $1 for that increased performance, but in every day use I'm not sure you'll notice.

  • You may want to remove VIC from C&C. Only store here is not open for business.

    • Umart Online: “Hello Jeff, thanks for the message. Please be advise that our Mt Waverly store is closed and we don't have any update of when it will be open again. All of the order from VIC will be for delivery only.”

      • Updated.

        • Thanks, I was actually hoping someone jumped out and corrected me. lol

  • Looking to upgrade the HDD on an old Dell XPS 1645. Just wanted to verify compatibility before taking the plunge. I found the HDD description in the ebay listing below. I recall that 2.5" SSDs may come in 2 different thicknesses?

    640GB 2.5" SATA

    • SSDs 1 thickness (2.5")
HDD 2 different thickness, you have linked a HDD not a SSD

  • These are perfect for the old refurbished Dell Optiplexes

  • mmmm, $74 for a raid 0 ssd array? Tempting.

In the process of refurbishing some machines, this is exactly what I've been after! I picked up 2, and Cash Rewards currently has 1% cashback on Umart, too. Thanks, OP!
