Holy schmokes! Great price! If I didn't already own them I'd buy another pair. If you don't see the point of shelling out >$300 for Bose or Sony NC bluetooth headphones, these are the next best thing. Good sound and better battery life.

    • how do they compare to bose qc 35 (except the price).. thanks

      • +2

Sound is better while noise cancelling is not as good as QC35.
If you want Noise Cancelling, go with Sony 1000XM2 or Bose QC seriers.

  • no more stock

  • OP can you please add an 's' to Plantronics in the title. Helps with searches as doing it without the 's' only comes up with the badly spelt titles.

  • Out of stock already. Must've only had 1 left which OP got!

  • +1

That was quick..Keep any eye over next few days as the price drop seems to stay.

  • Neither in stock at the moment unfortunately. I'd love to buy both but can't

Its back in stock now. Not sure if it has a mic? I want to use this with my PS4

    • Has a mic but doesn't work with my Xbox One.

    • My QC35's dont work over bluetooth with my PS4. I had to buy a cable to connect them to the controller.

    • Mic works wired to ps4

Almost makes them worth it. Almost.

hey guys, I just managed to price beat it at office works for 114. so if your local store has stock, you might have some luck

    • Did you go in and price match mate? Or give them a call? I had a look for an online chat but couldn't find one.

    • Hey mate, could you post your receipt pls? I've been looking for aptx LL compatible headphones with noise canceling and these seem to be a good option

      • +2

i called up to see if they'd even do it at my local store/if they had stock too and they were able to put it away for me till i just got it then

here is the receipt! good luck all!

        • Well done!! Scored a great deal!!

        • Well done on that one, local store refused to price match as its out of stock at Telstra website, same at JB

  • How is the sound quality of these compared to Bose QC35 or Sony 1000XM2?

    • +1

Sound is great and so is the battery life but noise cancellation is not as good as those of Bose and Sony's.

    • +4

I am wearing my BB Pro 2s right now, and I own a pair of QC35, MDR-1000X and PXC550.

The BB Pro 2 sounds as good as the Bose and NC is maybe 85-90% as good as the QC35. Out of all the headphones I own, MDR-1000X and PXC550 easily sound the best, QC35 has the best ANC, Sony has 99% of the ANC of the Bose, PXC550 probably 95% (great ANC but more audible hissing than the Bose and Sony), yet I find myself using my BB Pro 2 most days!

Battery life on all of them is about the same at ~20 hours each.

Absolute steal at this price, don't hesitate!

      • I heard many reports that it only uses aptx when NC is activated.

      • Wonder how the BB Pro 2 compares with the $99 Parrot Zik 3…

        • +1

I bought a pair of them yesterday…I'll let you know in a few days :)

        • -1

So my Zik 3s arrived today…Wow. ANC is amazing as is sound quality. Shame about the crap battery life (although I am putting that through its paces now) and the fact it only uses BT 3.0 (although still sounds great notwithstanding) otherwise these would be a real dark horse contender for the best ANC headphones!

EDIT - make sure you install the Zik app and update them to firmware v 3.07 though - i was having monster connection problems with them and my G7 before this update.

        • @xyron:

I got mine as well but I read on the forums if you update to 3.07 you will lose the ability to adjust the volume via Windows volume slider?

I want to update mine to 3.06 but it's not playing nice via USB :/

  • Hmmm I thought Telstra had a "notify me when back in stock" button.

    • Mobile version of app does

      • Cheers!

    • +1

It's also on the website too. Just below the price. It's the envelope icon.

  • marked as sold out on telstra store :( guess no more price match…

  • I had the backbeat sense (not the pro) and they were TRASH

Every planetronics headphone I've owned has been disappointing.

    • These are great.
hlHave owned them for around 2 years now and they are rock solid .
The ANC isnt amazing, but the sq and battery life makes up for it.

    • These are the only ones I've ever owned, and they seem pretty good. Although the sensor that determines when it's been removed from your head sometimes (profanity) up while lying down - can make YouTube rapidly pause and unpause.

I'm happy for the price, but would happily try another brand within $50 of the price these (I paid $200 a while ago I think)

      • +3

        you can turn that off:

When your headphones are powered on and in an idle state, press and hold the Mic button and
the Call button for more than 4 seconds until you hear "Smart sensors off". Repeat to
        reactivate.

        • Thanks, I've been meaning to Google that

        • Thank you!! I had the same issue and thought they were faulty.

        • ah sweet. good to know, thanks.

I like the feature, but occasionally it is annoying, as its very sensitive.

  • awesome price! I love mine. NC could be better, but sound quality is really good.

  • +1

The headphones are back in stock based on Telstra website. Get it while its hot.

    • Out of stock already. Getting this message:

Sorry. We don't have enough 'Plantronic BlackBeat PRO 2 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones (128786)' in stock to fulfill your order

    • Champion mate, just price matched them at officeworks.

      • Did they have to be in stock for Officeworks to price match?

        • also keen on knowing this

        • Yes, has to be in stock otherwise no price match. I tried earlier when it wasn't in stock but they refused. This time was the charm. Just tried them on with TV, good bass and sound with no delay with A2DP so I don't need aptx-LL transmitter for tv. ANC is ok, not comparable to QC25 I have but these are wireless. They are quite heavy to wear though look to be decent build quality. At this price, you can't really find any thing comparable.

        • @skdreams:

oh okay so do you think telstra will get more stock ?

Also it's good to know the bass is good! what would you give it out of 10?

        • @matthewdf97: For base I will give 8/10, pretty good.

  • Can you get this in store? Or is it online only?

  • thanks for the reply, would you say that these leak a lot of sound?

Also I also would like to know what Felto82 asked.

    • If you can find them in store, some stores will have this as $120, whereas some others will not sell them at $120. For example, the Randwick store had them at $300 and would not match the website price. But the Broadway store didn't have a price on them, the employee scanned it, and it came up as $120. So just have to try your luck!

  • +1

You can ring around and ask Telstra stores. Price is same in Telstra store if you find any, I did try one and price was showing $120 but no stock anywhere.

They leak only at highest volume levels, otherwise none to minimal. Also depends on what you're listening to.

    • Thanks so much for the response! Would you say you could listen to these around 60 % volume in an office and get away with low leakage?

      • +1

Yeah 60% wouldn't be an issue, you'll get away with it.

  • Does anyone know how does telstra take to dliver these? There is no tracking number or further communication from them apart from the order confirmation

  • does anybody know if telstra are going to get more stock?

    • it's available again

      • nope its sold out

        • +1

i guess it ran out again although it's still saying it's available on the main page.

I'd suggest you try your luck on harveynorman live chat or call officeworks to price match. I managed to get one from harveynorman when it was available last time (even though it's out of stock when you click on checkout as the agent didn't actually try to check it out)

          • @traz: OW priced matched it. just bought one haha

            • @pippohippo: congrats :)

              • @traz: and of course I get asked at home, why did you even buy it..you just bought the Backbeat FIT and have Sony headphones…

It was reduced from 298 to 114. Why wouldn't you buy it xD

                • +1

@pippohippo: hahaa my exact reasoning when i told the missus.

                  • @traz: They will change their mind when you say you'll "share"

                    • @pippohippo: Whilst I agree the Plantronics is great value, when you already have "the Backbeat FIT and Sony headphones", one could argue you should've just pooled that money and invested in one really good pair. The likes of the QC35II or Sony XMII?

                      • @bob_wangkar: Backbeat FIT were on sale for $95 (and better for sport) and Sony were wired one from a few years ago.

But otherwise I would have gone with a more premium product. Sorry I should have made my statement clearer

I ordered after 38 seconds of posting. I am not sure do I need it, I have Bose qc 35 ii
