Non-Iron Chinos Pants $69 (Was $89) + Delivery @ Charles Tyrwhitt

80

can confirm these chinos were $89 yesterday (or $79 each if you bought two)
they sent me this 20% off code, which expired yesterday but stubbornly did not work with the chinos or belts
they did work with shirts but the 3 for $99 deal was better

link for shirts here
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/400275

also cheaper are the belts

one way to avoid the delivery charge of $12.95 is to buy along with the 3 shirts for $99 (if you are looking to buy shirts that is)

also don't forget cashrewards
unsure at this point if it stacks with other coupons

  • Thanks for the post. I own a pair of these and I found it really hard to get a decent size. They are far too tight in the legs and were too big everywhere else.Good quality though. I would buy them if they fit properly.

    • I haven't actually tried them, and find $89 a bit pricey
I might give it a try for $69 simply because everyone seems to say the quality is good :)

I suppose if they didn't fit, I could always return them

      • $7.95 if you return. Exchange is free

I've got two pairs (navy and marine blue). Quality is good but for the marine blue pair, I had to request an exchange after 5 months as they had significantly faded. The replacement pair have been better but after nearly 9 months of use, they look significantly faded and not aesthetically pleasing.
I would suggest this is the reason why they are currently on sale for $49 as the colour is being discontinued.

Care wise - they are only ever cold/warm washed once a week (worn for two days per week) and they are only dried indoors (can't blame sun fading).

Navy pair is going well - no such concerns.

        • appreciate the feedback!
some fancy colours in the clearance section with red, light pink and green!
Can't believe at some stage someone thought they would sell well :)

    • Yes I agree..
Couldn't get a size that fit propertly as a man with a 34" waist, but thick legs.

      • Sounds about right. Way too many pants are sized as "skinny" even if they aren't specifically marketed as such. Apparently it's the fashion these days.

    isn't 'non-iron' just a myth?

    • yes

  • Chino is casual, good for sports jacket. why iron it?

    what next, iron your jeans?

    • if you can get away with smart casual in the office, minimum would be ironed (or non iron)

    • Chino is casual, good for sports jacket. why iron it?

Why brush your hair or put on deodorant/perfume? It's normal to want to look and smell nice.

      what next, iron your jeans?

Jeans don't succumb to creasing as much as chinos are - different material/fabric.

      • Why brush your hair or put on deodorant/perfume?

chill, is your chino too tight?

FYI, good chinos are made from cotton, same as jeans…

        • chill, is your chino too tight?

Perhaps, but at least they look good as I keep 'em clean and ironed.

FYI, good chino are made from cotton, same as jeans…

They are made from a light-weight cotton, where-as jeans rarely require ironing.

      • Why brush your hair or put on deodorant/perfume?

Didn't Russell Crowe once say he didn't bother with deodorant
Animal magnetism was what Meg Ryan preferred :)

How do the quality of these chinos compare to say… uniqlo?
