  • Cheaper than hiring?

    • +6

Unless you live next to one of these places that rents them - $20 to own is probably worth the time/effort/petrol/cost of renting one

  • +2

    what is the usual price?

  • This is the normal price, I picked up similar item from Mitre10 years ago for $20.

    • +4

      $20 years ago > $20 now.

      • About $126.15 I think.

  • I picked this up for $20 4-5 years ago and it still comes handy when I help move washing machines and fridges- year it is no match to a stair climber but it costs a fraction of it too

  • +20

    Cheaper than a chiropractor.

  • +7

Much cheaper and easier to master than telekinesis lessons

    • +2

I knew you were gonna say that.

      • +1

        So did I

          So did you

  • +1

Even cheaper than tearing the ass out of your pants

  • +2

bent the axle on one of these a while ago. Couldnt do the fridge really….. even though it says 250kg

    • +7

Your meant to take the body pieces out of the fridge first.

      • dude fridge is 100kg not 250kg as per the trolley description

        • But maybe the body pieces inside your fridge add up to 151kg?

        • @hymio: no, thats what suitcases are for

    • -1

      It's not elephant-proof.

  • +7

Protip, buy the solid tyres. The pneumatic tyres ALYAYS deflate during periods of non-use.

    • +1

Aldi have a bike pump for $12.99.

    • +1

solid tyres move like shit though

      • +1

Yeah it's a trade off between that and having to spend 20 minutes to pump up tyres whenever I have a 2 minute job to do. I went with less hassle. :)

        • +2

20 Minutes to pump up tyres…

        • +2

I can only guess that it takes 15 minutes for you to find the pump.

        • @JerryB: Tape the pump to the side of the trolley. Or take a holster for the pump. EZPZ

        • @camshandez:

So I guess you live 10 mins from a service station.

    • I have one with solid tyres too. My flatmate has one with pneumatic ones which were always near flat due to inactivity.

  • +3

This lasted two uses for me - the pneumatic tyres deflated. Someone stole it afterwards before I could re-inflate. Buy better tyres.

    • +6

      …and a wheel clamp.

  • +1

I replaced a blown tube on one of these. Tube was about $15 from memory :/

    • +1

      Good story Rhubarb.

      • +1

        Cool story, Grandpa!

    • +1

Thank you for sharing. I will learn from your experience and buy a second trolley = two spare wheels for only $19.89.

  • +1

    Product Dimensions (mm) W:550

narrow enough to fit down the aisle of the local bottlo.

    • +1

Might also want to take a look at this deal in that case.

  • Looks similar to the red one I bought for $20 from Super Cheap Auto 18 months which works OK for the price.

  • I bought 2 of them at around ~$26/ea. Break the axle at weight around ~150kg. so yeah…

  • Not really a bargain, I found mine (exact model) on hard rubbish for $0 :P

    • +4

      That's superuser's with a bent axle.

  • Can this be used on stairs?

    • +7

Depends. Are you filming a Jackass movie?

    • There are specific ones designed for stairs (cost more I guess) . They have like 3 sets of wheels, and part that moves/turns as you are going up the stairs.
I have used this normal type of moving trolley going up stairs, much more of an effort, and I would have someone holding it down well while travelling up stairs, as it it quite alot more bumpy than using proper stairs moving trolley.

I heard Conor Mcgregor is looking for some of these

    • ahahah.. classic!
