This is a Play Anywhere game so Windows 10 users with Xbox gold can also play for free this weekend.

If you've yet to give 4-player co-op rat smasher Warhammer: Vermintide 2 a go, and presumably you don't have an Xbox Game Pass subscription, then this weekend you'll be well-served, as you can play the game for free on Xbox One.
While on PC you can play both the game and the recently released Shadows Over Bogenhafen DLC for free, on Xbox One, the first DLC has yet to be released, so you can only play the main game. Obviously. And to coincide with the free weekend, there's still time to get 25% off the standard edition of Vermintide 2.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2's free play weekend is scheduled to start later today, and is set to run until 3rd September. Meanwhile, the Shadows Over Bogenhafen DLC will be coming to Xbox One in the near future, but has yet to be given a release date.
