They are not Android TV
As if you’d want one when you can buy a 4K android/Apple box anyway.
Android TV does my head in
What operating system this tv use? Is it laggy
https://store.sony.com.au/television/KD55X7000E.html#product… some said laggy
Dang laggy is a deal killer for me. Thanks!
All TVs are laggy.. name me one TV without a laggy OS…
@DeedubMelbourne:
My C7 is not laggy@DeedubMelbourne: any TV that has my laptop plugged into it…
Got the 55” X7000D for $1080 just over 18 months ago. Great TV but surprised it hasn’t really dropped in price
AUD down 10% over the last 10 months or so. So you are seeing prices up to some extent.
Hows the performance? Quick review?
Good question. Overall the TV has a nice panel, decent sound and pretty good user interface. But I find Android OS to be unnecessarily heavy (previous Sony Bravia Sony OS TVs I’ve owned and used we’re quicker to start up and load menus, but arguably didn’t have as many smart capabilities). Also for some reason built-in chromecasting has stopped working this week.
For an entry-level 4K TV, I would recommend, however now I would probably save up for and pull the trigger on an OLED instead. The X7000E runs a different OS so the above may not be entirely applicable.
55" X7000E (this deal) or Hisense 55P7?
Samsung vs Sony panel
Ain't Sony TVs have Samsung panels too?
43" a good buy at $699?
Is the 43" any good as a PC monitor?
Or is just too big?
Does it do 120Hz?Long discussion about it further down here. Just bought it based on this:
https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2665540
No 120hz, think you have to go higher end for that e.g. OLED
65x7000 any good?
Wow nice deal for a cheap 4k tv in the room… tempting. Holding off until Black Friday 😫
thanks - great price, 43" was still in stock this morning so I couldn't help myself :)
I have the Sony Bravia KD65X7000E. Does anyone know how to enable 4k hdmi for the Xbox One S?
Make sure the Xbox is outputting 4k in the Setting -> Display. The TV should just auto-detect whether the signal is 1080 or 4k.
You can also turn on HDR there.
On your TV make sure the picture mode is on Game Mode so input lag is lower.
4K is great, if you're not in then get in
All these shops selling 4k tv but nothing is broadcast in 4k
Netflix, Stan and Foxtel soon
games on a PS4pro or Xbox1X…
Downloaded movies, + youtube has a TON of 4k content
Interested to see how this stacks up against current ozbargain tvs
