  • Still showing at $43 for me

    • Sorry that, we'll change the price immediately

      • Still showing $42.99 for me as well?

Also, you don't have an alternative for this one do you please?

        • It's down to $33.99!

  • Any chance of a dc45 compatible one?

  • Will this suit a V8?

    • Nope… but I just bought one of these for our V8 and it works perfectly: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AU-LOCAL-Rechargable-Battery-For… I had bought one from another seller a few weeks earlier and it was DOA. They were good enough to refund me though. It was a smooth case whereby this one has the subtle molded pattern/design.

      • For that price, you might as well bought the official one from Dyson.

        • Really? I could only find genuine Dyson batteries to suit the V8 for nothing under about $105-$110 and after the original V8 battery failing so quickly I wasn't convinced they were anything special anyway so didn't mind going for a generic. Do you have a link please?

        • @SteveAndBelle: you need to call dyson directly.

        • @SteveAndBelle: Yeah as Wolfshooter mentioned, call them up directly if you can't find it on their website, last time I check they were about $85-95, could be different now.

Their batteries are also not standard lithium ion batteries that you can buy anywhere else and why they are not removable easily like say a drills one. I have been told 3rd party parts potentially ruin the warranty so just a warning on future buys.

At the same time, even premium brands have sometimes the odd dud parts which isn't a fault to the company whomever it is.

        • @Obichunobi: Yeah, they use 20700 cells. I've got six higher capacity 20700s on their way to repack the original but if that doesn't work then I can easily use them elsewhere.

  • How much is the delivery charge in melbourne 3335

  • $42.99 still

  • Price: $42.99

Even though Dyson batteries are not covered by warranty if one fails I would still contact Dyson, as they might replace it for free or sell you one a lot cheaper than what is listed on their website.

Australian Consumer Law covers "statutory warranties".

My V6 is a year and a half and the battery is palying up. Called on Monday and Dyson sent a replacement out and arrived today (Thursday). They said if this is your first battery issue they will cover it under the two year warranty. This service reminds me why people pay for the premium…

  • my dyson V6 battery failed about 1.5 months out of warranty and they wouldnt replace it, said battery was considered a part that needs to be replaced every so often and wanted ~$90 for a new one. about to buy one of these!

    Cheers OP!

  • Will this fit the DC58?

  • Bought 2 switch around n pull out when not using
    Or battery dies again..
