    Very nice!
I've read comments about some people having connection issues, but I got a pair on sale earlier in the year and they have worked perfectly 100% of the time and I use them quite a bit.
The audio quality is great too.

    • +2

Yep, I'm one of those people. They are so good when they work, but so damn annoying when they don't. I found the issues all started to happen when I moved to Win10. They are flawless on Win7.

      • I've got a g930 (an older iteration of the g933) and when I plug it into a USB3 port it has issues. Maybe try a different, non USB 3.0 port?

    • I don't have any connection issues either. I can even walk downstairs and outside from the receiver and it will work to a decent range.

    • "The audio quality is great too."

      How good for ASMR? :3

I got a pair Sennheisers HD558's dedicated for that stuff but would be nice knowing how good these as well when I'm far too lazy for wired.

  • +5

I have a pair of these headphones - not overall that happy with them. I get random disconnections, and it takes a few seconds for the audio to reconnect. Bit annoying while gaming.

    • Are you using it on PC or console?

      • PC - why do you ask?

    • Are they plugged into the back of your PC or monitor by any chance?

I have a set of these and they worked perfectly for a long time. When I got a new PC, I started to get random disconnects.

I moved the dongle to the front USB port (rather than the back) and the disconnects went away straight away. The issue was also there if I had it plugged in to the USB port on the back of my monitor (which acts as a USB hub). I think there's just interference for the signal going through the PC/monitor components.

    • not being silly but if it takes a few seconds for the audio to automatically reconnect it sounds more like the power saving feature is just kicking in by turning the headphones into a hibernation state until an audio source is detected then powering them back up.

I like this feature personally but if you don't, in a firmware release ages ago they made an update where you can change the power-down time, maybe even turn it off I think (but you'll get worse battery performance obviously)

    • Do you have them on RBG cycle mode? They always crashed when I had that turned on. I now have it just set to a solid blue colour and now it's completely fine

  • +2

Great price guys! :) love these specials that you put on for us!

  • Looks a good deal.

I paid $130-odd for the G533 last year and was happy with that.

    Good cans!

  • Any further discount available for Astro A40 and M80 for Xbox?

    It's $214.95 delivered at Amazon.

    • Never mind… same seller.

  • +7

The microphone on this headset is ass. Please don't buy it.

    • -7

What you mean ass? There is an ass on the microphone? Then it stinks if it is…

    • what headset would u recommend, i was after something like this but everyone reviews differently

      • +3

For PC? PC37X (Edited 12:51PM) from massdrop / sennheiser

        • nice i saw them on massdrop, is there any discount codes before i purchase?

        • Couldn't be happier with mine, I can wear it for long periods of time without my ears hurting or getting a headache.

Model name should be PC37X though.

        • @moneybaby: woops you're right, Pc37x is the correct model number

        • @Impulsebuyer1: Nah no discounts. But if you can go through a referral you can get $10 off if you haven't already signed up

        • +1

          Any recommendation for wireless?

        • They aren't wireless.

        • @shrodes:

I got the Plantronics Rig 800 for $200 and I think they're fantastic. No dropouts since I got them at the start of the year and very long battery life. The different versions of it relate to PC, PC/Xbox and PC/PS4 versions.

I used the G930 previously and this is better sound, better materials and more comfortable.

  • Why the heck does a headset need RGB?

    • +1

same reason ram sticks and coolers fans do

      • …That reason being stupid. PCs didn't have RGB few years ago and nobody died.

    • It doesn't need it. Much like all the other RGB luxuries, it's there because people want it

    • +6

      It runs faster with rgb

      • but it doesnt have legs?

      • +1

RGB influences your emotion, emotions influence reality, reality influences the cosmos, the cosmos influences RGB. It's the circle of light.

        • +1

          Underrated comment

      • Is that why activewear has always been so colourful?

      • This is plausible.

I swear, I run faster wearing a red shirt compared to wearing black!

    • +3

Fortunately I disabled it on mine. Saves heaps on the battery life too

    • people love colorful stuff nowaday xD

  • +1

Had this one since release in 2015. Good sound and wireless range but the whole thing is plastic fantastic. It creaks like crazy and the RGBs are very naff. Mic works okay but nothing special. Function keys are useful if you're into that. I've used them for push-to-talk while making dinner.
$155.8 is probably about what they're worth.

    • +1

Just adding to this, hot tip for any new owners - turn off the lights. Not only do you not look like a tacky Christmas tree, but you almost double the battery life.

  • +1

They aren't top of the line but this is a good price for what you are getting, got mine for 200 about a year ago and I've had no disconnection problems ever on PC windows 10 or on PS4. Both systems are just plug and play with the dongle into a USB.

  • +2

Damn, the comments here are putting me off. I am after a wireless headset for the PS4. I'll keep waiting.

    • +1

I use these nearly every day on my PS4, I have never had a disconnect or any other issue. I have also never had a problem using them on PC running windows 10, makes me wonder if I am really lucky or all these other people are having software/network incompatibilities on PC.

      • It's luck. You only need to do a quick search to see this is a common issue. I was completely fine for 8 months before the issue started.

    • +1

You won't have virtual surround with PS4.

      • Thanks, dude. I'll wait

    • Get a Corsair Void. I bought it in 20% off ebay sale a month back for $147.00. Pretty happy with that.

  • So anyone with a wireless headset for PC that doesn't suffer from their wireless signal disconnecting?

I found it annoying on the Logitech 930's and to see the 933 still suffer from the same design flaw is shocking.

    • +1

I have moved from the G930 to the G933 this week to see if it fixed all my infuriating G930 dropouts (only developed after 4 years use happened at least every 10 mins), G933 arrived Monday and so far no issues or dropouts with about 7 hours use.
One thing I will mention is that the range in my particular setup with the G933 is about 50% less that when I used the G930.
All plugged into same PC windows 10, same USB port same software.
Also the build quality of the G933 is definitely less than the G930.

      • Thanks for your feedback. Maybe I should take the punt at this price. Still ooohhh and ahhh right now.

  • +1

Don't get these, I have constant issues with not only DC but even more annoyingly it will randomly beep and change the headset sound profile. Turning off the logitech software makes it not DC nor change 'profiles' but then the sound quality drops because the software isn't running.

    • Mine does exactly this….

      • +1

        It's so frikin annoying.

  • +2

I've got a pair, they work great, haven't had any of the issues that others have had here.
The previous iteration (G930) I had issues with, but G933 has been great.

  • +6

Been using these for a year or so now on PC, no issues, no random disconnects and good amount of battery life.

They do have an auto disconnect feature when you aren't having any sound playing for a few mins, I guess its something they done to save battery. Also I've turned off the RGB colours, so it only lights up when I turn it on and off. The charging cable via usb is quite long and handy.

I use these everyday for gaming and watching movies - sound quality is really good especially with 7 speaker surround, as someone who is a bit of an audiophile I would recommend these for the 100-200 price.

    • You're right actually, I did change that setting - it was introduced via a firmware and LGS update.
TLDR for those buying now, the default for auto sleep when no sound is present is 5 mins (I think).
This is changed under the profile settings!

  • I owned a set of these. Had them for 3 months before returning them. They continually disconnected. Hours of trouble shooting led nowhere.

I now just use BOSE QC 35. Best decision ever.

    • How do you use the QC35? Wired or wireless?
My only complaint is that being noise cancelling, it's hard to tell how loud you are talking.
My current Logitech headset has a feedback thing so you don't feel like you are completely separate from the world while gaming.

  • +3

The USB Dongle has a 3.5mm jack and can be powered from anything. I sometimes have it plugged in to my receiver unit and then a cable from the receiver's headphone port to the 3.5mm jack in the dongle.

With a powerbank, you can essentially make anything have wireless audio.

In addition to that, having the USB dongle connected to a computer you can mix in any audio in to the 3.5mm jack. For instance I can have PC audio mixed in with my phone audio.

The headphones themselves also have a 3.5mm jack for yet another source. This port also allows for usage of the headphones when they are off.

I just tested all of these by having my PC Audio play Google Music in Chrome, and then a Nintendo Switch connected to the USB Dongle via 3.5mm and then my phone connected to the headphones also via 3.5mm. All at the same time. It sounded horrible, but it worked haha.

I do get drop outs, but it's rare. I think it's related to an over saturated 2.4GHz. And I also agree that they are "plastic fantastic." However, I quite like these headphones and I think they are well worth it at this price.

  • +3

Nice deal, but forget wireless and get the Kingston HyperX Cloud Alpha.

  • Well i was looking at this to replace my current headset - after the comments i think i'll leave it

  • Have owned these for 2 years, use them 3 - 4 times a week no worries, no DC issues. Very happy with them.

  • Updated firmware and bulging battery worst headphones I've ever used heavy also like they will slide off your head, support is a joke too Facebook and email

  • -8

I do not recommend these; they are so uncomfortable. I upgraded from a G930 (where the faux leather had started to peel but was otherwise fine). The grip on these is so strong, I get migraines from extended use. My head is pretty small. I hate this product so much.

Overall don't waste money on a "gaming" headset, they are all garbage or overpriced in some way. I recommend getting a normal headset without a mic, and buying the ModMic to attach to it.

Negged because a headset shouldn't give a person migranes. It's a defective design.

    • Sounds like a user error as i have a big head and have 0 issues with tightness

      • Lol, "user error" right. There's only one way to put on this headset. Everyone has different experiences and this headset is the only one that has ever given me migraines and made my head hurt after using it. You should not extrapolate your single experience to apply to everyone.

        • -1

So large heads have no issues with comfort or tightness. Clearly a user error, instructions not clear enough Dic* caught in a ceiling fan

    • +1

Not sure how small your small head is, but I’m on the larger side at 59cm and have no issues with it’s grip being tight. Never had an issue with the fit other than you need to have the band about 2-3cm further back on your head than every other headset I’ve had.

      • The band was at level 6 for a perfect fit with my head and it hurt like hell. I have it at max now and it still gives me migraines after a little while. It's simply way too tight for me.

    • I guess it's a YMMV situation. I definitely have criticisms with this headset - but comfort was definitely not one of them. Most comfortable headphones I've ever worn (and I've gone through quite a few different models).

    • My comment: an example of what happens when you make an honest review/opinion that Ozbargain disagrees with. eyeroll

    • This headset is outdated. You're right it's not comfortable. way too heavy

  • If I search for this in eBay, the ad doesn't come up… But if I go to this direct link, it does… weird.

  • Great price,

I paid a bit less for the G533 and I love them.

I would have paid a bit more to have these.

  • -1

Do not touch these! 3 of my mates and I purchased these all at the same time ALL have had ongoing connection issues!!! no support for Logitech whatsoever to fix.

    • +1

I’ve had three of these as two had issues that required them to be replaced by warranty. Logitech were very good in their support.

      • bit of a red-flag if two out of three had issues…

        • It’s not 2 out of 3, it’s 2 out of how many thousands??
The point is, they support them if you have an issue.

        • @snuke: if they are still under warranty when the issue arises..

  • +1

I love these, Worked like a dream since day one and RGB means everyone watching me play know i don't play that shit! 9.5/10 would bang

  • +2

Never had a problem with my pair either. I turn off the RGB rubbish for a little bit of extra battery.

  • Worth the upgrade over a corsair void pro wireless?

    • As above but cbf if 7.1 don't work on PS4 or Xbox.

  • +3

PSA for anyone that buys these.

KEEP YOUR RECEIPT FOR THESE NO MATTER WHAT.

They are a very good pair of headphones BUT I am currently on my 3rd pair in 3 years due to the microphone eventually breaking.

It will be covered under warranty so you will be safe but keep this in mind.

    • Cheers will definately do.

Hope they're as good as reviews sound. There does seem to be a few people (here) reporting issues with them but hopefully they're just random isolated cases and given the complicated nature of PC platform not everyone will have the same problem… and for 48% off it's worth a gamble imo.

  • These are super heavy and make my ears hot. Not recommended for a long gaming session.

  • great price, was looking for a decent headset for my sons birthday - thanks :)

  • Should be able to get 10% off these tomorrow using code PHENOM.

  • it's very heavy for long gaming session. Sound quality not top, just ok

  • I've had a pair of these for a while now, they're FANTASTIC. Best headset I've ever owned. Never had any issues, although I've heard others complain on forums etc.

  • +2

10% off now applies making the total price $147.60. Use code 'PHENOM'.

  • no remaining stock

  • +1

This couldn't have been a "while stocks last" deal… these were selling for $147 (after PHENOM code) for a couple of hours, and then went to "out of stock", but the ad is now up again but at a base price of $195.
