So long as you don't snappe the nib they should keeppe working just fine! :-)

  • Thanks Rep, I often have issues finding pens fine enough and these looks like the good so I've just placed an order.

  • Always find the point wears away long before the ink runs out with these.

Any non-plastic fine point (>=0.4)nibs on sale?

    • The polyacetal tip's are about as tough a plastic fine-tipped pen you'll ever find - it's the same polymer used in everything from guitar picks to heavy duty industrial uses (plastic gears, etc). Granted however, being such fine tips, they will certainly last longer with less heavy-handed use.

Alternatively, our Marvy Roller Ball Tough Ball Needle Point Pens do have an all-metal 0.5 roller ball nib. They are a very, very nice writing pen (would suit technical uses also) and they will handle much heavier use - they don't call them "Tough Ball" for no reason! They're not "on sale" per se, but they are priced rather sharply for such a quality (Japanese made) pen. :-)

      • Come to think of it, the Osmer Gel Pens (0.7mm all-metal tip) and the Osmer Deluxe Retractable Ball Pens (1mm all-metal tip) are both on sale and might also be good alternatives.

        • If they wear, they wear, heavy hands or not.

Thanks for replying, the Marvy was well worth a look but I'd still like finer….perhaps spoiled by using Pilot G-Tec at 0.3 & 0.4
