So many good reviews as a great budget ANC headphone! Looking forward to trying them! Thanks OP!

I was keen in the BH-22 from previous deals but was concerned about the white noise issue. Can anyone with this unit confirm if there is such an issue?

Got mine for a couple of days from last deal.

Pretty comfortable to wear, sound quality is above average for the price range. It connects to multiple device (mobile phone / laptop…), the in-built mic sounds alright (according to my wife) but there is a slightly delay when talking through the phone.

The only thing I cannot get used to is I can hear white noise from the right ear channel when turning on NC, which also somehow makes me dizzy so I am turning it off at the moment. Can anyone please tell me if this is normal on a NC headphone? or this is actually faulty?

Copied a comment from Amazon US for your reference:
2.0 out of 5 starsA LOT of background buzz & hum when noise cancellation is on. Only a small sound level change for voices/background noise.

I tested ANC in a quiet room where I could turn on and off a white noise source. With NO ambient noise in the room and ANC enabled, there is a loud buzz in both speakers and it is still noticeable with the white noise source. The white noise source is decreased a little, but not significantly.

For people's voices, what I hear is a change in the pitch and a slight decrease in volume.

The headphones are comfortable and were easy to pair to my Android phone.

    • If there ever is an issue with any TaoTronics product, you can contact them through Amazon, by email [email protected],
or you can contact me and I will speak directly with their Rep.

TaoTronics is a great company to deal with, they want to be known as a trusted and reliable brand and will be happy to sort out any problem.

    • Just got it. The white noise is noticeable immediately from the right cup.

      • Yeah OK I can hear that, just. My tinnitus almost drowns it out :(

It is definitely in the right ear cup, if you reverse the headset it can be heard from the left ear (right ear cup).

If I've got any audio playing I have to concentrate pretty hard to notice the white noise.

It's going to annoy the shit out of some people.

        • Do you have bluetooth 4.2? My phone only supported 4.0 so I considered that may be an issue

Either way, for me it's extremely noticeable even with music (no tinnitus, rarely listen to music or loud sounds), turning ANC on/off makes no difference either so I'm pretty disappointed.

        • @snynx: Well I tested it disconnected from bluetooth and could still hear the noise with ANC turned on. I thought it might be just the remains of the ambient sound, but I went to a quieter room and the white noise didn't change.

I find the headset really comfortable, the audio quality is pretty good for my needs, and the battery seems good; I can wear them all day without it going flat. I don't have to bother with the cable getting tangled in the armrest of my chair or the crap on my desk. For the price I like them, I might drop the coin on a pair of QC35s down the track, maybe.

    • I'm just going to chip in and say I do not hear white noise coming from either side… power on/off, ANCon/off.

I find a very VERY faint hum when ANC is turned on, but equally in both ears and assumed it was normal as part of the ANC - certainly doesn't interfere with any music.

Why all the upvotes? Are people trusting Amazon reviews?

    • Cheaper than Bose?

  • Bought a TT-BH22US over 24 hours ago, still haven't been dispatched yet.

With prime membership, I am surprised that it takes this long to dispatch. Even my Kogan order for something else bigger was dispatched overnight. Disappointed in Amazon AU :(

    • That’s the same story here but for Amazon Prime deliveries they’ve always showed up on it before their estimated delivery date regardless of when it’s dispatched

  • but they give a day guarantee on which it will arrive my orders have always arrived when they said they would.

  • Cant see stock any more..

It looks like the TT-BH22 Headphones have sold out, the other earphones are still available.
I will ask the Rep for a new code when they are back in stock.

      • Can you please find out when we might be able to again order the TT-BH22 overear headphones?

        • There will be another sale soon-ish. They only tell me a couple of days beforehand so I can prepare the listing.

I will reply again to this comment when they are back on sale :)

Just got mine delivered. So far so good.

  • Aw man, didn't check ozbargain for half a week and I missed me some nice deal on nice headphone. Waiting for the next one for sure!

Got my TT-BH22 today. Ordered it along with a TT-BA07 bluetooth adapter.

Its all working well, quite comfortable, the ANC works alright I suppose. I have nothing to compare it to. I can still hear ABC Kids floating in from the other room, but the fan noise from my server and PC has disappeared.

  • Anyone can compare these to other ANCs?

I have owned and used QC35 and Sony's in the past (and sold them since), but I wouldn't mind having a cheap ANC for occasional flights.

Got my TT-BH22 today also and am well pleased with them for the money.
Quality feel on the phones and comfortable to wear.
They sound very good but I think the noise cancelling will be of limited value.
Comes with a nice carry case too.
First thing I listened to was the Falcon Heavy launch (binaural audio).
Well worth a listen but do keep the volume to a sensible level the first time through.

  • Got the bh22 today. The ANC might as well not have been included - it's pretty weak.

Not too bad for the price, however. I feel like spending a bit more on Sennheiser or similar refrubs might be the smarter buy for anc.

After a week of using these and the Aldi $40 BT headphones, I have returned the Aldi set and kept these TT - BH22's. Sound quality better than Aldi (which I know doesn't mean much). Bass and overall sound reproduction is much better and fuller. Very comfortable to wear over long periods; I wear them on the train for 2-3 hours a day with no discomfort. this is my first ANC so can't comment on quality, it tends to quieten humming noise like the full background humming sound you hear on the train. I wouldn't say it's great at cancelling conversation type of noise. What it does great is that slight noise cancelling means music and videos I watch can be heard better without volume having to go > 50%. Using it on iPhone 8 Plus with no change to the Equalizer and much better sound than airpods (obviously better bass and all round sound). For $60, I'm definitely pleased with these and hope to get lots of use out of them!

    • @Jjklark, I also feel like returning my Aldi $40 BT headphones. I have tried it on for 1 day and didn't like it. Will Aldi accept a return even after the box has been opened?

      • From their returns policy

        Special Buys
We will refund or replace any non-food specials within 60 days. Please provide your original receipt (or other proof of purchase), ideally with packaging.

        I read that as Yes.

        • Ok thanks. Hopefully they accept, as I got the receipt and box just like new.

  • Bought TT-BH22! The build and sound quality is quite decent. I'm really happy with it. The only thing I found not good enough is the active phone app stop playing when there is an app is play in the background e.g. when you're playing Spotify in the background, the Youtube app sound can stop all of a sudden…!

    • I've also found some issues with YouTube. Sound will stop sometimes if I pause or pull the video back… but not always… and sometimes the sounds starts with a simple pause/play, or fiddle around with it a little more. It's not that annoying, only because i can't work out what triggers it, can't reproduce the issue.

  • Op any chance getting a discount code for the TT-BH22 headphones?

@xev: Hi Op, add me to that list also, keen on trying out the TT-BH22

Got my TT-BH22's a while ago from this deal but have just gotten around to checking them out today. They're really good, very comfortable around the ears, sound quality is alright and there's minimal lag when using them on the computer, so should work for netflix and movies. I'm keen to get another pair, hoping to get another discount code OP!
